Janice was never seen after the night of my birthday. I told them she was taken, but they would never believe a thirteen year-old kid like me. So they declared Janice was lost.
Janice was just lost.
But when the police had a man in custody, that was two years after. That's when they believed that Janice was truly gone. One huge man admitted, he took her.
He taped her hands and feet and drove her into the woods, he said. He molested her, he said. He killed her after, he said. He left her there to rot, he said.
But when asked to draw a map so we could at least find Janice's body, he couldn't, he said.
Because he didn't leave her in only one place.
