Soonyoung looked back at the screen and noticed the way her hands were holding on to the male's upper arms, "She also sure as hell wouldn't kiss back if she didn't like him, she'd have pushed him away."
Soonyoung's eyes looked back at her lips at Seungkwan's words and sure enough her lips had parted and she was kissing him back now.
But that doesn't make sense?! Soonyoung thought. The plot leading up to this had implied she really disliked the guy and that his feelings were one-sided.
"But doesn't she hate him?" Soonyoung was thoroughly confused at this point.
Seungkwan sighed and paused the TV before placing the popcorn bowl on the coffee table, he lifted his legs and crossed them, turning to face Soonyoung whilst pulling a cushion onto his lap for his hands to rest on, "You don't know much about love do you, hyung?"
Soonyoung froze a little and scoffed, "Yah, what's that supposed to mean?"
Seungkwan clapped his hands together once, ignoring what Soonyoung said, "Sometimes all it takes is one person confessing their feelings - or in this case showing them with a kiss, to make another person realise their own feelings."
Soonyoung gulped, his mind replaying Mingyu's confession and how his own body had reacted to the kiss they'd shared. He had originally tried to push Mingyu away the very first time though, right? But he didn't during the kiss at the studio... Heck he'd kissed back technically.
"Seungkwan, can I ask you something, hypothetical of course?"
Seungkwan's eyebrow rose at the use of the term hypothetical but he nodded his head regardless, curiousity doning his expression, "Sure?"
Soonyoung bit his lower lip slightly and wondered how to start, looking down at his own hands as he turned his body and changed his position to mimic Seungkwan's so they were both facing each other.
"If a friend of yours confessed to you suddenly and then even kissed you, but you didn't push them away either..." Soonyoung lifted his hands up and waved them slightly as if to deny that this situation was real, "Hypothetically of course!... What does that mean?"
Seungkwan sat there silently for a few seconds, his expression looking like someone wanting to say 'you don't know the answer to that already?'
He tilted his head to the side slightly and blinked a couple of times before finally answering, "Well surely that means the person being kissed also likes the person kissing them?" He gestured to the paused TV screen, where the similar scene had just been acted out.
Soonyoung's cheeks flushed, "Hey! How can you say that so easily?! You don't know anything!"
Seungkwan's eyes widened and he laughed slightly, "Hyung, why are you getting so worked up, you said it was hypothetical. I thought you just wanted to know about the plot, was this actually a real thing you're asking about?" His tone of voice had turn probing, wondering what Soonyoung was hiding.
Soonyoung froze, internally cursing himself before crossing his arms and forcing one of his "Ha ha ha" laughs, "Of course it's hypothetical! I just personally don't understand why it means the person has to like them back if they simply accepted a kiss, that's all."
Seungkwan rolled his eyes once more before reaching for his popcorn, "Why would someone accept the kiss of a person who just confessed to them for any other reason? That's not fair to the person confessing is it? You'd reject them otherwise, not accept it."
Soonyoung couldn't deny that Seungkwan made a good point, if you didn't feel the same way, you'd politely turn the person down surely? So why did Soonyoung allow Mingyu to kiss him? Not to mention kiss back...
Soonyoung's thoughts went back to the scene of them kissing in the studio, Mingyu's tongue entering his mouth and Soonyoung extending his own tongue to meet him.
