Chapter One

Charlie

I stare through the window at a nice cafe I usually get my drinks from on a cold day like this. I love autumn in the city, only because it is my favorite fashion season that I could look cozy and cute at the same time.

But I didn't walk into the nice little coffee shop because of one person sitting in a booth with a red scarf wrapped around his neck. A black coat that fit just right, his cheeks a nice rose color from the cold and at last his eyes that are hidden under his black bangs.

It has been about four months since that horrible moment and here he was inside my coffee hut - well not exactly mine. Sitting with a beautiful brunette. On automatic my feet carried me inside the tiny cafe. My wolf silently growling at the sight of the women. Which surprised me slightly since I haven't heard from my wolf since he basically rejected us.

"Hey Charlie, you want your usual?" I glance up seeing Haven with a different colored hair.

"Oh, yes please. With a lemon poppy seed muffin?" I reach inside my purse fishing out my wallet.

"That would be eight dollars and ninety-eight cents." I hand her a ten as I glance back at Chad who was now starring right at me with a look in his eyes I couldn't exactly place my finger on. Quickly I turn around reaching for my hazel nut coffee. I felt my wolf stir wanting to go back to Chad, feel his skin against mine and lips gently kissing mine. I quickly walk to the door before a hand grabs my elbow erupting into sparks.

"Charlotte." His voice sent my brain into goo, I glance over at him meeting his eyes. His clear blue eyes that I remember the night we made love, all night long where I thought he loved me back. I cleared my throat pulling myself out of his grasp, shaking those thoughts out of my head.

"Chad." I replied with a stiff nod, pulling my wolf back before she dry humps Chad.

"I need to--"

"Chad, honey who is this?" He was interrupted by the brunette beauty who was starring and smiling at me which clearly was forced. Her eyes were a nice pretty brown, she was probably around 5'2" without the heels. Her shoulder length brown hair was nicely curled pinned back. Her skin was flawless.

"I'm Charlie." I raised my hand out forcing a simple smile onto my face. Even though inside I was killing her a million times with her arm around Chad. "And you are?"

"Daniella, Chad's fiancée." She placed her left hand up, freshly manicured fingers with a nice big engagement ring on her ring finger. Inside my heart broke even more, like someone stabbed a million knives into it. More like Chad doing it or Daniella.

"Oh isn't that nice." I forced the tears back and smiled. "Well I have a place to be. So, it was nice meeting you Danielle and Chad see you around...or never." I whispered the last part harshly. Turning away quickly walking out the door.

"Its Daniella!" She called out, I rolled my eyes, holding in a growl before I turned around and trample her, knocking off that perfect little smile.

"Whatever." I muttered. A couple blocks away from the shop, I burst out crying. My wolf howling for her mate, betrayed and humiliated that her own mate would do this to her. When I was a little girl, when Chace and my parents were still alive

"What is the matter pretty girl?" I look up through my blurry eyes as I meet with dark brown eyes. His tan complexion was flawless and a hint of red on his cheeks from the cold. He wore a beanie on his dark brown long hair that was in a serious need of a hair cut.

"B-Bruce?" I stuttered before I wrapped my arms around his figure. Burring my nose in his chest, he smelled like hazelnut and a hint of woods. Making me relax, slowly my sadness faded away. The perks of Bruce being a half Empath and half werewolf.

"Charlotte what is the matter? Why are you crying on a beautiful day like this?" I glance up into his eyes before I told him everything that just happened what I've been through.

I've known Bruce since I was young girl, I was the one that found him in the woods crying and bleeding. Ever since then we held a special bond to each other that no one could understand beside Chace since he is my other half. But its something about him that I felt a pull too, I know it is not a mate pull something more.

Something stronger. Even I am terrified for what would happen when we figure out what the hell it is.

Yay for the first chapter!

Who didn't expect Bruce to come back OR Chad being engaged. I sense a little drama ahead! So I decided to name Chad and Charlie's story Dreaming of Forever. Sounded kind of catchy but whatever.

So tell me what you guys think of the first chapter. Please give me some feedback. It seems like no one is commenting and only voting (Not that I mind) I just want to see how good i am doing so far<3
