"Yeah, so I finally accepted, we put some type of plan together and I played my role. The only thing we had going on was nothing else but a friendship."

"Then you helped for Patrick too, since he had to end things with Angela." It'd been awhile since I last checked up on him and I was hoping that he was doing well. Hopefully, he got to explain himself to Angela and get her back because those two were really in love and had a bright future ahead of them.

I made a mental note to call him later.

"Yes, even though I didn't really wanted to. I was tired to be this girl that slept with everybody's man. I mean, I was doing it in my younger years, but I grew out of it and Richard kept keeping me in this position with that whole situation. It was even starting to ruin my relationship with Doug."

"Oh, heard you're pregnant. Congratulations ! "

"Thank you ! I'm not showing too much already, am I ? " She stood real quick and posed in different angles.

I shook my head, "not at all. You might not really show up until further in your pregnancy, like around six months. Are you excited ? " I answered, then asked as she sat back down next to me.

"Yes, very ! I can't wait to meet this little blessing ! " She squealed, looking down at her stomach as she rubbed it a bit.

"You'll see, motherhood is beautiful. Hard, but beautiful."

"Yeah, my mother told me the same thing."

We smiled at each other, feeling no kind of tension in the air. It first felt weird to have her here, but as the conversation was advancing, it felt more and more as if I was actually talking to a friend.

It was crazy.

"So, you and Richard are just friends." I had to make sure once again. I was going to let nobody get in the way. We will have our happily ever after.

"Yes. I've never had real friends before and I though that it would stay this way forever, but Richard proved me wrong. He's not my best friend, cause you already have him, but he's a really good friend of mine. I really value our friendship, and like I said I stopped being messy. I actually wish y'all the best and hope for a wedding soon."

I couldn't help but smile like an idiot at that. Richard and I getting married, it would be a dream coming true. I'd been waiting forever to become his wife.

"Thank you. Doug and you are going down that road too ? "

She grinned widely, "hopefully. I fell in love with him. He's amazing ! " She talked with stars in her eyes.

For an hour, we continued to talk, mainly about motherhood but also about other aspects of life. I couldn't believe that I had Fanny in my living room and that we were sharing a moment without trying to rip each other's head off.

Actually, I thought that she was cool and surprisedly I could see myself hanging out with her in the near future. Everything was still fresh, but with time we'll be able to be friends if we really wanted to.

Before she left, we exchanged numbers and made plans.

"Call me if you have any type of questions or need help with something ? "

"Aw, thank you so much." We hugged, then I walked her to the door and she left.

It went way better than I thought.

I put my phone on the charger as I just hung up with Patrick. I called him and was glad to know that everything was going great for him. Angela gave him a second chance and he had a talk with his father which turned out good since they decided to work on their relationship.
