Mingyu decided it was time to finish washing up and get out of the shower. He was up early that morning, before any of the other members and so was the first to use the shower. It was five past seven according to the digital clock on the shelving unit beside the sink.
After wrapping a towel around his waist, he used another white towel to rub against his hair, fingers stroking against his scalp to dry himself off. Shaking his head slightly from side to side to free any remaining droplets.

Casting the towel over his shoulder, he moved towards the bathroom door and opened it, eyes busy focusing on the ground - completely oblivious to what was in front of him until he heard a soft thump and a yelp of what he assumed was pain.

Soonyoung groaned, lifting his hands to gently rub his bare forehead which had just been bashed into by the opening of the bathroom door. He'd been in the process of going to grab the door handle and let himself into the bathroom, unaware that someone was already inside.

"Hyung?!" The surprised voice caused Soonyoung to freeze in place, hand still touching his forehead. Slowly he raised his head allowing his eyes to meet with the pair of even darker eyes before him.
Soonyoung gulped, noticeable too if Mingyu looking down at Soonyoung's throat was anything to go by.

Once again Soonyoung found himself practically glued to the spot as both men stared at each other in silence. The awkward tension between them was so thick and suffocating, but Soonyoung didn't know what to say nor do. Throughout the sleepless night, he'd been thinking of all the things he wanted to ask Mingyu, but now that he'd finally bumped into him and they were alone, he couldn't think of any words to say.

Mingyu hadn't gone to the meeting the night before claiming he had a headache. Soonyoung had sat amongst the other members of SEVENTEEN, around their kitchen table idly eating the pizza that had been ordered. But his heart wasn't in it, he couldn't think of anything but Mingyu and it both angered and frustrated him. How could Mingyu act that way and then avoid him with no word of explanation?

"I'm sorry..." Soonyoung was brought out of his trance at Mingyu's apology. An apology that held the undertone of more meanings than one. Soonyoung couldn't be sure if he was apologising for the door hitting him just now, or what had happened the day before.

Soonyoung's lips parted and once again that familiar dry feeling returning to his throat and finally he made himself look away, hand lowering from his forehead and down to his side, resting against the soft cotton material of his pajama bottoms, "I-..."

He was going to respond to Mingyu until he felt a soft damp hand grip the bottom of his chin. His eyes widened as he felt the still slightly wrinkled skin of Mingyu's thumb brush over his lower lip as his face was turned in Mingyu's direction. Mingyu's gaze was soft this time around, almost ...lost?
It wasn't the same gaze as yesterday which had felt like it was eating Soonyoung alive, no. This felt much more emotional and it caused Soonyoung's voice to catch in his throat. Mingyu looked so sad.

Mingyu's eyes moved back and forth between Soonyoung's as if unsure where to settle his gaze and Soonyoung couldn't help the flip in his stomach. Mingyu's voice was much lower this time around, barely a whisper in volume, "I'm sorry..." Before Soonyoung could realise what was happening, he gasped at the feel of warm lips pressing against his own. There was no hunger to the action it was soft and caring as well as quite fragile, as if Mingyu was afraid of breaking Soonyoung.

Soonyoung felt heat coarse through his veins, his body shivering at the contact. Hands instinctively rising up to press against Mingyu's chest in a vain attempt to put some space between them. Mingyu's bare tanned skin beneath Soonyoung's palms was warm and still slightly damp from his shower and Soonyoung suddenly felt like he lacked all strength to push his dongsaeng away.
