:: Confusion ::

Glancing to his side, Mingyu noticed the way Soonyoung's eyes were gazing over him. The action was completely innocent and normal, Soonyoung often stared at some of the members so it wasn't surprising. However Mingyu felt a strange drop to his stomach and couldn't help but gulp down the saliva in his mouth, coughing slightly afterwards to clear his throat.

How long had it been since Mingyu started looking at his hyung in an entirely new light? The slightest actions of Soonyoung now played on Mingyu's mind on a regular basis. He could simply greet Mingyu in the morning with his goofy little smile, showing off his chubby cheeks and Mingyu would repeat that scene in his head for the next couple of hours. He felt like he was melting with every word Soonyoung spoke, whilst every time Soonyoung looked at him made him feel like feathers were trailing over his skin.

Mingyu knew he needed to stop thinking about it, so quickly cleared his mind and spoke up, breaking Soonyoung's stare in the process.

"You should wash up, hyung. Most of us are already done, only Shua-hyung is in there now."

"Shua-hyung? Oh, so I've still got to wait a while then." Soonyoung laughed and took another sip of his water before resting back against the sofa once more. Mingyu couldn't help but also chuckle at the remark as Joshua was well known for taking the longest time in the shower.

"I guess that's true. Are you still hungry at all? I can cook something up for you quickly if you'd like?" Mingyu knew how much Soonyoung liked his cooking, albeit nothing special - so these days he'd found himself going out of his way to offer to cook for Soonyoung more than he ever would before. He wanted the attention of his hyung and found himself anticipating the inevitable praise he received whenever Soonyoung tried his food.

Soonyoung looked over to the younger and raised a questioning eyebrow, a momentarily puzzled look to his face. "But we had food before we came home, remember?" The members had gone to a Chinese restaurant before coming home upon Jun's recommendation, so they all had their dinner for the night already.

"Oh yeah, nevermind then hyung! I forgot." Mingyu laughed and ran his hand through his bangs and pushed his hair back against his head. He moved back so he was level with Soonyoung, yet in the process his elbow had caught his hyung's arm and caused Soonyoung to almost lose a grip on the glass he was holding. Water pooled out from over the side as he'd been mid-sip, allowing it to spill down onto the bare skin of his chest, conveniently right in the gap he had created by unbuttoning his shirt.

Soonyoung winced slightly at the sudden cold temperature and looked down at himself, momentarily a little stuck on what to do. Before he could form a train of thought however, he watched as Mingyu's hand appeared beneath his vision, pressing the towel he had just been using against Soonyoung's chest to try and soak up the water and clean the mess he'd caused.
"I'm sorry hyung!" Mingyu exclaimed, using his spare hand to slightly pry Soonyoung's shirt a little further open in order to make sure he got all of the water off of him.

"Yah, what's up with you? Trust you to cause a mess." Soonyoung laughed and sat upright, disturbing Mingyu's hands slightly. "You don't have to do all this though, it's fine. I've got it."

Soonyoung didn't think too much about the way Mingyu was touching him, skinship was something both Mingyu and Soonyoung were fond of amongst all of the members so it wasn't entirely unusual for such casual touches. It was more so the urgency of Mingyu's actions that had Soonyoung pondering. Why is he being so hasty and strange? It's just a bit of water.

At Soonyoung's words, Mingyu looked up to his hyung's face and flushed. He let go of the towel once his hyung had a hold of it and moved his hands away, one awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck whilst the other sat in his lap as he let out a few forced chuckles. "Oh, uh. Sorry hyung..."

Soonyoung looked puzzled at the tone of Mingyu's voice and upon inspecting his facial features, could swear there was a colour change in Mingyu's cheeks. Soonyoung parted his lips to ask Mingyu what was wrong however was disturbed by a loud Chan coming from the hall way. "Aish, Shua-hyung, put some clothes on!"

Mingyu glanced over his shoulder towards the door which lead into the hallway and Soonyoung's eyes also followed suit. They both couldn't help but laugh at the bickering they then heard between Joshua and Chan.

"Well, I guess it's time for me then." Soonyoung spoke with a light bounce to his voice, putting the glass down on the coffee table in front of him. He placed one hand on the edge of the seat and the other on Mingyu's knee, using him as a means to propel himself up from where he sat.

Mingyu's breath caught in his throat at the simple contact of skin against skin, feeling like the skin Soonyoung had just made contact with was now burning, leaving an invisible hand-print.

There was a soft breeze as Soonyoung walked past him towards the doorway, causing the scent of Soonyoung to invade Mingyu's senses. Soonyoung smelt sweet almost like petals, mixed with a very faint odor of sweat. Mingyu found it oddly attractive and closed his eyes, allowing himself to focus on that one thing alone.

"Thanks again for the water, Mingyu!" Soonyoung called out as he disappeared down the corridor towards the bathroom, waving a hand over his shoulder without him looking back.

Mingyu looked towards the glass that had been placed on the table. There was still a little water left that hadn't been spilled and Mingyu couldn't help but lift the glass in his hand and raise it towards his face, lips parting expectantly. He could see the imprint of Soonyoung's lips on the glass from the lip balm he'd been wearing and intentionally turned the glass so his own lips would rest upon the exact same place.

He swallowed the water and groaned softly, holding the glass between both hands as he leaned forward, arms resting upon his thighs looking down towards his feet. What's wrong with you Mingyu? He thought to himself. Why did he find himself acting so strange for his hyung and no one else?

Of course Mingyu wasn't a complete idiot and already had the thoughts lurking at the back of his mind that maybe, just maybe he was developing feelings for Soonyoung. However he did his best to squash such thoughts knowing it wasn't right. He couldn't...

Mingyu got up out of the sofa and placed the glass in the kitchen sink before sighing and heading down the corridor towards his room. He could hear the faint trickling sound of the shower at the far end of the corridor and had the sudden image of a naked Soonyoung cross his mind; pale skin adorned with droplets of running water, hands caressing skin whilst using soapy body wash...

Cursing beneath his breath Mingyu opened his bedroom door and was met with the gaze of his roommate Jihoon who was busy organising a couple of his clothes drawers. Shaping his lips into a smile, Mingyu went into his room and did his best to act casual and pretend no such thought had ever crossed his mind whilst Jihoon entertained him with idle chit-chat.

Mingyu flopped into his bed and scrolled through his phone notifications between the back and forth conversation he was having, although he wasn't honestly paying Jihoon too much attention at all - he was simply listening without actually focusing properly.
All Mingyu knew was he was in for a long night of discomfort and confusion once again thanks to his innocent hyung, Kwon Soonyoung.
