Hanji woke up. Her entire body ached as she sat up. She looked around, her vision blurry. She felt around for her glasses, but didn't feel them. She assumed just sat them on her dresser, and so she stood up. Immediately, she fell to her knees.

She let out a squeak of pain as she hit the floor. Her entire body hurt. Her legs. Her arms. Her abdomen. Everything. It didn't help that she couldn't see.

Hanji felt around on the floor, hoping that maybe her glasses were simply next to her. Obviously, they weren't. She sighed before hearing a knock on the door. The sudden noise startled Hanji.

"Who is it?" Hanji called.

"It's Levi," replied a calm voice from behind the door.

"O-oh!" Hanji stammered, "Come in!"

A short, black haired man walked in. He held a tray of food, two cups, and a teapot. Hanji squinted her eyes at him.

"Do you want your glasses or are you just going to stare at me?" Levi said harshly.

"I really need my glasses," Hanji told him, "And an explanation."

"Huh?" Levi looked at her as he sat the tray down, "What do you mean?"

"What happened to me?" Hanji asked, "Why am I like this? Everything hurts."

"You don't remember?" Levi's puzzled look hardened as he handed Hanji her glasses.

"Of course I don't remember!" Hanji retorted, not meaning to sound rude.

She slipped her glasses on and blinked a few times. She looked up at Levi.

"Well," Levi started, sitting on the floor in front of Hanji, "I guess I can explain."

The Scouts were on yet another mission outside the walls. They made it incredibly far outside with little casualties. It was almost farther than their farthest.

Hanji was allowed to tag along with the Levi Squad for that mission, and so Moblit tagged along as well. Hanji didn't understand why he came with her, but she didn't bother to ask. She simply rambled on and on about titans.

Levi never minded listening to Hanji babble, but sometimes he needed a break. He let out an irritated sigh and looked over at Petra. She flashed him a soft smile. He didn't smile back. He just turned back around.

He then turned to Moblit.

'I'm sorry,' Moblit mouthed to Levi.

Levi rolled his eyes and looked straight ahead. Everything seemed to be going fine until loud footsteps were heard from behind the Levi Squad.

Both Hanji and Levi turned to see a large titan, maybe a sixteen meter, running towards them. Before Levi could even think about attacking the titan, Hanji was already off her horse.

"Hanji, wait!" Moblit shouted.

"No thanks!" Hanji shouted back, "This baby is mine!"
