Chapter 34- The Brothers

Chrim's PoV

"Have you seen Louie?" Kuya Melrein asked but I shook my head. It's Kuya Christian's 5th day of burial and still no sign of Kuya Louie.

"Are you ok?" For the second time around, I shook my head.

"I miss them.. "I honestly told him.

"Miss Chrim, narito na po ang sundo niyo." I heard butler Jun said.

"Ok. Do not leave this place, Jun." I said and grabbed my bag but Kuya Melrein pulled it from me.

"Let me.. " He said and made His way out of the door.

"We'll go here together later. Anong oras ba ang tapos ng test mo?" He asked.

"2pm" I said. Tumango tango siya at sumakay sa sasakyan.

Melrein's PoV

"To the admin's office." I heard Chrim said at nagchange ng daan kaya sumunod ako.

"What are we going to talk about? "I asked.

"Completion Ball." Nanlaki ang mata ng ibang mga admins dahil sa sinabi ni Chrim. I just smiled.

Ayaw niyang isipin ng ibang mga estudyante ang mga problema at patayan dito sa academy, instead she wants them to feel the happiness that the Academy supposed to give.

"Let them ask the other wattpader they want to date at that night." And this statement's the one that surprised me.

"A-are you serious?" Gulat na tanong ko.

"Yes. It's not right to forbid someone to love and be happy. It's not right for me to stop someone from loving while me, myself, is inlove." She said and looked at me with a smile.

"Tama na, tama na yung takot sa sakit na dulot ng past. Tama na yung takot sa sakit na maaaring madama sa future. Let's enjoy the happiness sa present time habang mayroon pang natitira, while we can still cherish it and before it can even turn into just plain memories." She bravely said and I'm proud of her.

Life is short, let's give it our best shot.

"Anyways, let's talk about the details. Anong theme ba ang gusto nyo?" She asked. Agad silang nag taasan ng mga kamay.

"Masquerade?"

"Isn't it too common?" Someone interrupted.

"Pero marami pa ding may gusto non." Sabi naman ni Julie Anne.

"Edi alam na din kung sino ang nasa likod ng maskara kung yayayain sila ng date nila, diba?" Christine

"So kung mag ma-masquerade ball tayo, we won't let them choose their dates? Let fate choose for them, ganon?" Chrim asked.

"Paano naman yung mga may gustong maka-date talaga?" I asked.

"What if wag na natin 'to ituloy?" Jack asked and immediately got a slight punch from  Lance.

"What if wag na natin ituloy ang buhay mo?" Agad na sabi ni Lance na kina-pout naman ni Jack. Tsk, pa-cute din 'tong isang 'to e.

"Let's finalize this, walang babalik sa dorm hangga't wala pa tayong theme." Sabi ni Chrim at sumandal sa swivel chair niya.

...

"Aren't you tired, yet?" I asked Chrim who's still sitting in her swivel chair and browsing for gowns in an online shopping site. She's looking for a black gown, syempre patay ang kuya niya't mag-i, definitely magbablack 'yan.

"Nah, I just feel ike staying here." Sabi nito. Kami na lang ang tao dito sa admin's office, kanina pa nakaalis ang iba. It's almost 7 in the evening at kabado ako. I feel like something's not right.

*knock*knock*

Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa. Who could that be? Ang alam ko'y nasa dorm na ang mga estudyante nang ganitong oras.

"Buksan mo." Sabi niya

"Bakit ako?" I asked.

"Baka si Kuya yan, panigurado ikaw ang hanap niyan." Kaswal na sabi niya at nagpatuloy sa pagscroll sa laptop niya.

"Kung kuya mo, bakit ako ang pakay?" I asked again.

"Baka ibibilin ako sa'yo?" Napaface palm ako sa sinabi niya. Like wth?

Hindi na rin ako nakipagtalo pa't tumayo na para buksan ang pinto.

I thought it was just some student that will ask something but a gun's what I've seen.. followed by a hand of a person and of course the person itself. I thought it was just him...

But Louie is with him.

I heard Chrim's swivel chair moved.

"What are you doing here?" Chrim's bored voice a while ago was replaced by a voice full of anger.

"Move." That guy told me. I didn't move because I obeyed him. I moved because I want to look after Chrim. I went beside her and put her in my back.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"That girl.. being ruined."

"You can never do that." I said.

"Oh really? Hindi mo ba nakita o narinig ang nagawa ko sa kuya niya?"

"Fvck you!" I blurted out.

"Sorry, I don't fvck boys.. but I can." Napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. Ano daw?

"Lewis, stop it." Chrim finally spoke again.

"Stop what? You already knew that right? Why should I stop?" He said and smirked.

"Oh, I guess alam ko na. Ayaw mong malaman ng lalaking ito na pumatol ka noon sa kagaya ko?" He asked and then looked at me. Chrim didn't speak. As for me, I stayed silent but never gave him a hint that I'm fvcking confused. He is her ex? Then what's wrong someone like him?

"I SAID STOP!" Chrim shouted.

"Oh by the way, do you know this guy beside me?" He asked.

No one dared to speak. Louie just kept looking on the floor.

"He is Louie Jay Lazaro, the younger brother of Lewis Jason Lazaro. Oh, and do you know who is that?" He asked and then laugh crazily before speaking again,

"That is me, the killer.. and he is my eye because he is my younger brother. Isn't it awesome, guys? Let's give me a big round of applause." He laughs and claps his hand para suportahan ang sarili niya.

This guy.. is insane.

But..

I've been with Louie ever since we were 6, how come I didn't meet this guy? How come I didn't even know about his existence?

How could he be.. his brother?
