Melody's POV
"Haha!Loser! You can't catch me!" I yelled as I ran ahead.
I ran up the stairs and headed to Calum's room.
As I turned towards the doorway I felt hands snake around my waist.
I stopped, causing us to tumble over.
"How the hell did you catch up to me?" I asked breathless.
"I got these long legs remember?" He gasped back.
I laughed.
"We can't go one minute without us falling over today"
he laughed.
"Well I can't help falling for you Melody."
I playfully shoved his shoulder.
"Don't get mushy on me Hood"
He laughed even louder.
"So what's this big news Short stop?" I handed him the envelope.
"Manhattan Dance Academy" he read across the envelope.
"Go on open it!" I nudged impatiently
He opened up the letter...
"Dear Mrs.Chase, we would like inform you that we are gladly to announce that we would love to see you audition for our school.We appreciate and will be happy to see you at the auditions on September 1st at noon."
He put down the letter.
"Well?"
I eagerly waited for his response.
His face showed no expression at all.
It was nor happy or sad.
"Calum, your kinda scaring me here"
he looked up at me.
"Sorry, just I'm speechless"
"It's so exciting right! I'm going to the one school I've been dreaming of. It's the same school my mom dreamed of going to. I can finally start off someplace with my dancing career"
Calum smiled.
"Come on let's go tell the boys"

Calum's POV
I woke up early this morning. I couldn't sleep well at all last night. Today was the day we tell Melody the news. I ate, showered, and got dress. I sat in the living room and got comfortable watching tv. I checked the clock 9:30 am. Ugh I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't care if I woke her up. I grabbed my keys and headed out.
I started walking down the driveway, until I was crashed into Melody herself. Her body landing on top of mine.
"Melody...can you see I'm walking here" I sassed
"Sorry...all I saw was a tree with legs" she retorted back
I laughed.
"Whatcha doin here shortstop I was about to head to your place."
"Guess what I got in the mail today?"
"Can you tell me after you get off of me?"
She turned red. Which I found quite cute when she did.
"Sorry..I totally forgot I was on top of you."
She rolled over next to me.
I smiled and got up.
She pouted.
"Hey we're supposed to lay next to each otherr"
"Actually lets go inside"
I held out my hand for her to grab.
She whined.
"But I don't want to"
I pouted.
She sighed and grabbed my hand.
"I don't know how you do it but only your pouty face works on me"
when she jumped up, our faces became inches away.
We froze.
I wasn't sure if I should lean in or not.
She leaned in.
Here we go.
This is my shot.
All I gotta do is lean in and kiss her.....
She playfully shoved my shoulder.
"Race you inside!"

She was ahead of me for a little bit but not for long. I snaked my arms around her waist causing her to stop. We tumbled over.

I decided I was going to be smooth and cute.
"I can't help falling for you Melody"
there that would do the trick.
She playfully shoved my shoulder.

damn.
it didn't work.
I decided to play it off with a huge laugh.
"So what's the big news shortstop?"
She handed me an envelope.
"Manhattan Dance Academy" I read the big bold letters across the envelope.
I don't have a good feeling about this.
I stared at it.
"Go on!open it! She nudged me impatiently.
I opened it.
"Dear Mrs.Chase, we would like inform you that we are gladly to announce that we would love to see you audition for our school.We appreciate and will be happy to see you at the auditions on September 1st at noon."
I put down the letter.
I just blankly stared at it.
I know this is her dream but I can't live without her. I don't know how to express how I feel. My body won't even let me move. Nor can I cover up my emotions and pretend to be happy for her.
I can't let her go.
"Well?" She waited.
"Calum, your kinda scaring me here"
I looked up at her.
She looked so worried. I can't ruin her happy moment. She couldn't wait for this day to happen. And it finally did. Just like I believed it would. I can't take it away from her.
"Sorry I'm just speechless"

"It's so exciting right?! I'm going to the one school I've been dreaming of! It's the same my mom dreamed of going to. I can finally start someplace with my dancing career" she blurted out with excitement
I couldn't really steal this away from her. It's all she's talked about since we were 5. I decided to throw on a fake smile. Hopefully she couldn't tell the difference.
"Come on let's go tell the boys"
