"can i get some help on here?" i say grabbing the big bowl of fettuccine alfredo i made.
nate walks in and smiles and grabs the bowl of salad and the bowl of bread.
we both walk in the dining room and place the food on the table.
me and nate sit down and everyone starts putting food on their plate.
"so nate tell us the story!" cameron says shoving food in his mouth.
"well we were walking on the beach, and i find this bottle. And when i opened it, their was a note that said 'say yes?' and i turned around and he was on his knee." melanie says.
my heart shatters more and more every word she says.
"iii have to use the restroom." i say. my voice cracks halfway through the sentence.
i get up and run up to my room and cry silently.
i hear footsteps and i look up and see cameron.
the only person who knows about my feelings.
"i still love him." i say through tears.
he smiles and comes and sits on the bed next to me.
i lay my head on his shoulder.
"i know." he says.
"what do i do." i say.
" you have to tell him." he says.
"he's getting married. how do i tell the man that's engaged to one of my best friends that i'm in love with him." i say.
"it's just always better to get it out." he says
i nod and give him one last hug and we both head downstairs.
i sit back down.
"so when's the lucky day?" i ask.
"2 months from now so, june 22." she says.
"wow so soon!" i say and smile.

"thank you for coming!" i say giving everyone a hug.
they all walk out and i give nate a hug.
he wraps his arms around my waist and rubs my back as i lay my head on his shoulder.
"bye nate." i say smiling.
"seeya clar." he says and walks out.

"evelyn come on let me tuck you in." i say putting the last clean dish away in the cabinet.
i go up to her room and see her on her tablet.
i help her put on pajamas and pick her up and place her in the bed.
"night baby." i say pulling the covers up towards her.
"night mommy love you." she says.
"love you too." i say and kiss her head, smile and turn off the lights before walking out of the room to my room.

"mommy! i want waffles!" evelyn says as she jumps on me waking me up.
i rub my eyes.
i smile.
"do you want me to ask uncle jack and aunt lily if they want to come too?" i ask.
