The rain was falling, big heavy droplets splattered onto the umbrella. A boy was standing over his best friend, who was now a mere fraction of the person he once was, for he was being eaten from the inside out as sobs wracked his body. The boy looked back up at the horizon, bigger and blacker storm clouds crept ever closer to the broken boy and his broken friends, soon the umbrellas wouldn't be enough to keep them from getting drenched, for their own tears had begun to saturate their shirts. They knew that it was coming but, there wasn't enough time in the universe to give them enough time to wrap their heads around and accept what had happened a mere week ago. They were angry, not at each other but at the universe for letting this happen, for making this happen. Nobody deserved this, nobody deserves to feel like this. Nobody would wish this on their worst enemies, but it happened, it happened to them, and there was nothing they could do to go back in time and fix this.
