I learned how to create "reverso" poems from a book I read as a child. I found them both hilarious and fascinating, so I created one of my own. The rules for reading reverso is to read each line the first way then read it line by line from bottom to top, not changing the word order. Enjoy!
Dreams
Blissfully, I fall
Into deep REM sleep,
Dreaming of fun times.
Like fighting dragons.
Like becoming a hero.
Like dancing with love.
Like mountains of cake
All covered up with frosting.
Like grandma's cookies.
Like making a game,
Like building a rocketship,
Like programming life.
Like lucid dreaming.
Dreams can carry you away,
Simply follow them.
I'm Hungry
Munch Munch
I eat
A sandwich.
Hunger
Overtakes me.
What
Is
It,
That does?
Food.
Climbing
Climbing a ladder
Which is 70 feet high
I hope I don't fall.
After 20 feet
My arms become quite weary
I hope I don't slip
After 50 feet
My legs start to become sore.
I hope I don't drop.
After 60 feet
I'm nearly at the tip top.
Soon, I'll have to fall.
At 70 feet
I'm falling and then flying.
Downwards, yet I soar.
Lightly, I land on
The earth,
So soft on my feet.
A journey complete.
