Chapter 26: Deletion

Start from the beginning

"Y/N?" Jeremy said.

"He's right. I only slept with you and acted like I liked you because I pitied you. You were just so sad and lonely all the time. I felt bad for you."

He was stunned.

"I mean, you seriously thought that someone like me could ever like you? Me?"

"I-" Jeremy started.

"Come on, Jere. We both know I'm way out of your league. Jake's more my type. He's a winner. You're a loser."

Jeremy's Point Of View

My words hung in the air, laying heavy on him.

He remembered how Christine and Jake had a thing once before as well.

"I- I-" Jeremy stuttered, having a significantly hard time trying to find words.

He didn't know what to say. He looked at the ground and then around at Y/N and Michael, thinking.

"Bu- But you're- You're not Y/N." Jeremy said, recalling what had been revealed to him in the back room.

"What're you talking about?" Y/N said.

"You're not Y/N. It's- It's still you. It's always you." He said before changing courses and walking over to Michael. "And I don't know what you did to Michael, but- I know that he would never say anything like that to me."

Michael's Point Of View

Yes! Yes! That's my Jeremy! You know me!

Michael tensed up as electric pulsations were sent through him.

He groaned inside his mouth from the shocks.

His face read despise for Jeremy and was hostile. But Jeremy could see in Michael's eyes, his best friend in pain.

"Michael." Jeremy said as he got closer to his friend.

The SQUIP's Point Of View

The SQUIP was sending influential transmission waves through Y/N to Jeremy, but it wasn't working. Jeremy was too focused, too sharp and sober.

The SQUIP was getting worried about what may come and needed a backup plan in case something were to happen to his current vessel.

The SQUIP sent a communication to Derek, who had locked Oliver and Vanessa in Rich's basement. The corrector inside of Derek forced him to intake a SQUIP pill.

Jeremy was still with Michael when the SQUIP saw Rich burst through the back door. He was beaten, bloody, and was about to charge at Y/N with a bottle of mountain dew red in his hand.

The SQUIP quickly began to transfer his main consciousness into Derek, to protect himself.

But you're crazy if you think the SQUIP would leave Y/N unharmed...

Reader's Point Of View

A massive pain was sent throughout my entire body, starting from my head and coursing through every one of my neurons.

I doubled over into myself and clutched my head in my hands.

It felt as if hundreds of tiny explosions were occurring inside my brain - it hurt like a motherfucker.

Suddenly I was tackled to the floor and sparkling cherry liquid was forced down my throat. The weight that was on top of me, which was Rich, left me and I laid on my back.

Even though I wasn't choking, I felt as though I were drowning, gasping for air.

I turned onto my side coughing, as if I had just been pulled from the ocean.

My breathing increased and I seemed to be hyperventilating.

Jeremy had rushed to my side. But, in all honesty, it was hard to tell what was happening in reality around me.

My vision was being blinded by multiple streaming colors, that were coming from my head.

It was like a spastic firework light show happening directly in my retinas.

I was somewhat squirming on the ground, with my eyes forcefully closed. I was groaning and, somewhat, crying.

It wasn't stopping.

I wanted it to stop.

I just wanted to pain to be over.

Jeremy's Point Of View

It was difficult for Jeremy to see Y/N like this. Especially, when there was nothing he could do to help.

Jeremy quickly grabbed a blade and cut Michael free. After doing so, he rushed to Y/N's side, who was now writhing on the floor.

"What did you do to her?!" Jeremy yelled at Rich.

"It was just mountain dew red to deactivate the SQUIP." Rich said. "I- I don't-"

He stopped talking as Y/N's sounds did.

Her breath was steady and calm. Her eyelids were relaxed instead of tensed up.

"Y/- Y/N?" Jeremy called to her.

Nothing...

"Y/N?"

...

"Y/N!"

...

"I don't understand. What's- What's happening?" Michael said.

Jeremy didn't say anything. He just sat there looking at the poor worn through girl that had suffered so much because of him. A girl who had been used and taken advantage of by something beyond what any of them had known. The girl that he was in love with and would do anything for to protect.

Suddenly Y/N gasped in a deep breath that caused all three of the guys to jump a bit.

"Y/N. Oh my god!" Jeremy said as he helped her sit up and embraced her in a loving and caring hug. "I thought I had lost you. I was so worried that the SQUIP had taken you forever." Water began to form in his eyes, but a smile covered his face.

Rich's phone began to go off... Of all the times for a cell phone to ring... It was Vanessa. He had to answer it and see if Oliver and her were okay, so he stepped to the side.

Jeremy didn't want to let Y/N go. "I love you so much." He said to her, before letting her go from his arms.

As he pulled back he looked at Y/N and she had a blank, confused expression on her face.

Rich walked back over to Michael, Jeremy, and Y/N. "Derek locked Vanessa and Oliver in the basement at my house. He took off with the box of SQUIPs and our stash of mountain dew red. They don't know where he went."

"Shit, fuck." Michael said.

Jeremy heard Rich but was too focused on Y/N.

"Y/N, are you okay? What's wrong?" Jeremy asked her.

She got up and moved towards Michael.

"Michael, what's going on? Who is that?" She asked.

The SQUIP left Y/N and transferred into Derek, yes.

But when the SQUIP left Y/N he took something with him... He took part of her with him... He had deleted Jeremy from her memory...

A/N: I have a whole thing planned out for how I want to take this and I'm very excited about it, I hope you guys are too. I could've ended the story there, but I'm really enjoying writing this so I figured, "Why not just keep it going?"
