I wake up the next morning thinking it's a school day. But, turns out we have the day off. I find that out after I get to school & stand there stupidly for about an hour.
On my way home, I run into Dantae'.
"Hey." Dantae' says.
"Hey." I say back.
"You're out early."
"Yeah, I thought we had school today." I say. Dantae' chuckles.
"That explains the whole bookbag. So anyways, you & Gabe, huh?"
"I don't know honestly. One day he hates me, the next day he tells me he's in love with me." I say.
"Well, Gabe is pretty confusing sometimes." Dantae' says.
"Yeah, so I'm gonna get back 'home' now." I say.
"Okay, I'll text you later."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
& with that Dantae' & I go our separate ways.

I finally get home & walk upstairs to my room. My phone buzzes. One new text message From..Gabe -__-.
"Hey. Can I see you today? I miss your lips ;)."
I text back: "That's your attempt on asking me to hang out with you? EPIC FAIL -__-."
Gabe texts: "Why so harsh my love?"
I text: "This conversation is boring me.."
Gabe texts: "Alright. Did you want to come over & hang with me today?"
I text: "No."
Gabe texts: "Seriously?!"
I text: "Only kidding. I'll be over in about 15 min."
Gabe texts: "Okay. I love you!"
I don't text back. I just stuff my phone in my pocket & silently walk to Gabe's house. I finally get there about 10 minutes later & knock on the door. Debby answers the door.
"Hey Patrice! Come on in." Debby says.
I smile & walk in.
"I'm going to the paulor if you guys need me! Bye!" Debby says & then leaves.
"Gabe!" I call up the stairs.
"Coming my love." Gabe says comming down the stairs. He walks over to me & pulls me in a tight, yet comforting hug. I reluctantly hug back.
"I missed you so much." Gabe says as we pull away from the hug.
"It's only been like a day." I say shrugging.
"That's too much time away from someone you love." Gabe says.
"I guess." I say.
"Now, let me kiss your lips." Gabe says wrapping an arm around me. I look at him like he's a total psycho & he leans in & kisses me. What the hell, I guess i'll kiss back. I kiss him back & he smiles aganist my lips. We stop kissing & look into each other's eyes. Gabe's green eyes glow at me full of emotion & thought.
"What are you thinking about?" I ask.
"Do you actually like Skinner?" Gabe asks me.
"Why..?" I ask.
"Just answer the question."
"Sort of."
"You don't actually kiss him, do you?"
"No, of course not. You just think I go around kissing dudes all day?" I ask.
"I just asked a question, chill."
"Okay then.."
"Can I ask you a question?" Gabe asks as we sit on the couch.
"Sure."
"Do you love me?"
"What part of I don't know don't you understand?" I say.
"Wow. Harsh." Gabe says acting hurt.
"Are you cool with Dantae'?" I ask.
"Football jock Dantae'?"
"No, ballerina player Dantae'." I say sracastically rolling my eyes.
"Anyways. No, me & jock Dantae' are not cool, nor will we ever be."
"Why not?"
"Because, if it isn't clearly obvious he likes you."
"So are you like not cool with anyone who likes me now?"
"He's not who he seems to be. He'll end up playing you in the end so it doesn't matter."
"If only you would have told me that before."
"What do you mean?"
"Because we have to work together with each other for a project & we're supposedly new texting buddies starting later on today."
"Well, I hope you guys stay texting buddies & nothing more." Gabe says.
"Dude, you act like you own me or something. Chill out. I'm not interested in Dantae' as a boyfriend or anything else but friends. I'm pretty sure I won;t be in a relationship anytime soon, so.."
"You could be in a relationship with me."
"Why would I be in a relatonship with you when I don;t know my feelings for you?" I ask.
"You can get to know your feelings for me." Gabe suggest smiling.
"No." I say flatly.
Gabe flips his hair out of his eyes & sighs.
"Why not?" Gabe asks.
"We've been through this already!" I say.
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!" Gabe pleads.
"Dude, no. Why are you pleading over me when you can have like any other girl?"
"I don't know maybe because I have nothing else better to do *cue eye roll* orrrr... I LOVE YOU & only you." Gabe says.
"Let's just talk about something else. Because I don't want to sit here & reject you all day."
"Alright. So I hear you have a friend?"
"What friend?" I ask.
"Day." Gabe says.
"Oh yeah her.. I guess we're friends..."
