Raelyn
"We can just forget about the bet right? Like we don't have to get married?" I ask. He laughs.
"I don't think I'm ready." He says.
"Me either." I say.
"We didn't this through did we?" He asks. I shake my head.
"We didn't." I answer.
"Raelyn?" I hear someone ask. I look up and see Johnson.
"J." I say with a smile. I walk to him and give him a hug. He gives me a squeeze.
"How are you?" He asks.
"I'm good. Be busy but I'm doing good." I say. He nods.
"Yea I heard about the business. Congrats by the way." He says
"Thank you." I say. I recently started a business that thankfully took off fairly quickly. It's a clothing line with a few makeup products as well.
"I listened to the new album." I say.
"It was really good. I loved it." I say. They both thank me.
"You know we never told johnson." Jack tells me.
"We didn't." I laugh.
"What did you not tell me?" He asks.
"Rae and I made this bet in like what? 6th grade that if in 10 years, we cross paths and were both single-"
"You have to date right? I've heard of people doing those." Johnson says with a nod
"Except mr. fast paced over here, said we have to get married." I say. Johnson's eyes go wide
"And yours both single?" He asks. We nod.
"So should I start calling you mrs. Gilinsky now or?" I smack Johnson's shoulder playfully. He laughs.
"So are you guys gonna do it?" He asks. I look at Jack. He shrugs.
"At least alter the rules a bit and say that you guys get a week to get close again. Then get married." Johnson suggests
"I think the big part is getting married. Like that's huge." I say. Jack agrees.
"Well maybe it won't be after that week. Just give it try." Johnson says.
"And if we absolutely hate each other after that week?" Jack asks
"Add another 5 years or something." Johnson says. We both agree.
"Your our witness to this whole thing alright?" Jack tells johnson. He nods.
"Give me your number so we can plan a week or something." Jack says, handing me his phone. I put my number in it and save the contact and text myself so I have the number.
"Okay. I have to get home. Text me when you can." I say, giving Johnson a hug and then Jack. He nods. Johnson gives me a wave as I walk off. I smile and turn around the corner. What the hell did we just agree on?
