I hurried around the kitchen at top speed and ended up making a huge mess by the time it was ready to go into the molds.

I stirred it all together and poured it into the heart-shaped molds I bought for this specific occasion. The humming of the freezer and burst of cold air hit me like a brick as I slid the mold into the bottom rack.

"Now to clean up, " I sighed to myself.

I never realize how big of a mess I make until I have to clean it up, but I suppose that it's the same case with most people.

I started by putting all of the dishes in the washer, which was pretty simple, but the only part of the process that would be.

I scratched the back of my head and grabbed a towel. I ran it under the sink for a bit and started wiping down the counters. And the sink, and the cabinets, and the fridge, and the floor.

After I was done, I was damn near passed out.

I need to get my life together, I thought as I trudged towards the shower.

Just as I stepped in, something terrible hit me harder than it probably should've in hindsight.

If this goes badly, I could end up without a house...

Bakugo owns the apartment. I pay him rent. He could kick me out if he wanted to.

But... He wouldn't! He wouldn't do that to me... I'm his best friend. He'd get over it eventually...

I started having a mini panic attack and decided I should probably get out of the shower. All my breakdowns start in the shower.

I went into my room and put on my white shirt with the rainbow stripe across the middle.

"I love this shirt, " I giggle to myself as I pulled on my ripped black jeans.

I finished the look by putting in my rainbow gauges and walk out of my room to the kitchen.

"Hey, Shitty Hair. What happened to Overwatch?" I heard a familiar voice say from in the kitchen.

"Bakugo! You're back, " I said, slightly blushing.

He reached to open the fridge, likely to put the butter away, and I freaked out.

"UM, lemme get that for you dude! Go... sit down or something. You said you were sick right? Yeah, go do that, " I said, laughing nervously and snatching the bag away from him while nudging him towards the couch.

"The fuck? Okay, I guess..." he replied and went to go sit down.

I threw the butter in the fridge, probably knocking something over, but not really caring. I grabbed a straw from the glass on our counter and stuck it into one of the chocolates. The smell wafted past my nose and I smiled when I found that the chocolate was fully chilled.

I popped a chocolate out of the mold and threw it in my mouth. It was sweet, just like chocolate should be, but the spice came through almost immediately after. My mouth was burning and I reached back into the kitchen for milk. I chugged a bit of it straight from the bottle and put it back down in its place, ignoring the grossness of what I just did.

The throat was still on fire, and as I decided they were spicy enough, I popped the rest of them out of the tray to put on a plate.

I let out an outdrawn exhale and I called Bakugo into the kitchen.

"Hey dude, I wanna show you something. C'mere..." I said barely loud enough for him to hear.

"Hm? Okay..." he said as he made his way to my side of the counter.

"Oi, you've been acting super weird today. Are you oka-- oh, " he was cut off by me showing him the plate of heart-shaped chocolates.

"Did you... Make these?" he asked quietly.

I nodded my head, taking a deep breath as I prepared myself to explain.

"Bakugo... I've liked you for a while now. You're smart and funny and talented... You're just perfect in every way, and I'm not sure how I ever thought I could avoid it. I was sure I could ignore it at first, but without the rejection, there was no reason to try. I-I'm sorry if this changes anything between us, but I couldn't go without telling you any longer. It's unfair, " I finished with a sigh and hung my head down to stare at the chocolate.

He stayed silent, but I saw his hand reach out to grab chocolate. I watched as he brought it to his lips and took a bite out of it. We locked eyes and his expression changed from generally confused to something like coy and... intrigued?

"It's good, " he mumbled.

"Wh-what?"

"The chocolate. It's really good, "

"Is that all you have to say? That you liked my chocolate?" I said, close to crying.

He chuckled and blushed as he looked up to me again.

"Yep." he grabbed my chin and smashed our lips together.

It started out sweet but heated up nearly as fast as the chocolate had. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I moaned into the kiss. I could taste the spice on his tongue just before he pulled away.

"Katsuki... " I said as I opened my eyes. His were still closed and our foreheads were pressed together.

I placed my hand over his and he opened his eyes. His face was almost as red as my hair and he averted his gaze.

"Happy Valentine's Day, "
