Locking the cafe, I strolled to the nearby park and sat on the lush green grass, under the blue sky.

Children played cheerfully in the corner. A group of 2-feet chanting some rhyme while roaming around one after  another made me smile.

'It's a miscarriage'

Even at such tender age, I bawled like a maniac. Nevertheless, it was my child. And it was gone. To him.
It was a ball.
Just the size of my fist.
Dripping with blood.
Resting in the small shiny metallic tray.

And they took it.
Away.

'Hey!'

Something thumped in my lap, snaping me out of my trance.
A small girl smiled up at me and I peppered her face with kisses.

'Where's your mother?', I asked while finger brushing her hair.

She pointed in vain and I creased my eyes to look in the direction.

But there was no one.

I looked down at the little girl who had her face hid in my scarf.

'Booo', she shrieked and I smiled.

She stood on wobbly legs while clutched my shoulders and that was a vivid hint that she was not more than a year.

How did she get here without any aid?

She slumped down on her butt and giggled.
I kissed her forehead and let my lips linger for a while. She clutched my neck and tried to stand again.

'Where's your mother?', I asked again while pecking her rosy cheeks.

'Hi!', she said.

'Hi! Where's your mother?', I asked again while straightening her shirt.

'Heeeeyyy!', he tilted her head and dragged her greet.

I guess she just knows that word.

'I knew it.'
My ears heard a rich manly voice and someone slumped beside me.
My head whipped in his direction and came across familiar features.
He took off his shades and I blanched.

'Hey!', he chimed.

That little girl lunged over him and he caught her effortlessly as he if he was prone to such attacks.

'Heeeyy!', she dragged again while tilting her head.

He gave her his phone and she started tapping it while babbling in his lap.

'You just flew away...', he stated.

I nodded and looked down at his lap. She was in her own world, giggling at her own baby joke.

I stood up to leave and he gazed up at me.

'Allah Hafiz!', I said and headed back.

'Hey! You're leaving already?', he said and stood up with his little one.

I nodded again and turned.

'No wait!', he called.

'Stop!'

'Hey! Wait up...', he ran behind me to catch up.

'I really need to go.', I said as he matched my foot steps.

'But we just met..', he said scrunched brows.

'And don't you dare roam around Zaki..'

'I thought--.', he stopped amidst and I strode past him.
