it takes, it gives,
i wasn't entirely sure what it gave and what it took
but it filled me whole and empty
it drowns away my sadness
but also took away my friend
it gives me life to breathe
but also gives me despair;
that transparent liquid
such a mystery
all those colors and yet dark paints lies hidden
and those complex truths all veiled
what a beautiful disguise
that I'll depend on forever
