Dinner

I am a dinner on a plate,
I sit, and I patiently wait,
For just one unfortunate fate.

I'm still a dinner on a plate,
Anxiously, I still wait,
Where is that infortunate fate?

They strike again,
Slowly they eat me, it hurts,
But my screams stayed hidden.

Pain, tears, I don't like it,
One by one, they eat,
Making me smaller by the minute.

They were finished finally,
They left me at last, for now,
All alone with what's left of me.

Tears formed as I wait,
For I know, that I still,
Am a dinner on a plate
