Seralyn Marie Rose Black

Seralyn was in her bedroom at Grimmauld Place. She was anxiously awaiting for school to start back up on September 1st. She heard news that the Weasley's and Harry would be coming soon. They would be having a meeting with the rest of the Order members. Severus would be there.
When Seralyn thought of Snape, she blushed slightly. She knew Severus her whole life. He was only 17 when she was born, her current age, but not for too much longer. Severus Snape was a double agent. His heart was in the Order, but he was marked with Voldemorts mark. He pretended to be on Voldemorts side, but in reality he was on Dumbledore's side.
Dumbledore would not be attending the meeting. Seralyn was a member of the Order, so she would be a part of the meeting. They were talking about what would be best for Harry. They would talk about what precautions they should take. She knew she would have to watch over her God-brother.
Seralyn got up from her bed and walked down the stairs. "Dad? Are you in here?" She heard voices.
"Yes! I'm in the kitchen." Sirius Black called out to his daughter.
"I'm coming!" She called back to her father, walking to the kitchen. She opened the door. It smelled like dinner. She saw Molly Weasley cooking dinner. Seralyn laughed softly. "Dad, did you already put her to work?"
"You know she loves to cook for us." He father said. Then he whispered to her. "That also means, I don't have to cook. She's doing the hard work."
"I heard that, Sirius." Molly said, waving her spatula at him. Her soft face played a smile. She went back to cooking.
"When is Harry going to be here?" Seralyn asked her father. She hoped soon. She was fairly bored. Hermione and Ron should be there, but she didn't care too much for her god-brothers friends. It wasn't like they were terrible people, they were great people. But she didn't have a "spark" to show a friendship between them.
"He should be here soon..." Sirius said, looking at his daughter. He smiled softly as he remembered Elizabeth, Seralyn's mother.
Seralyn knew that's why he was smiling. She went to her father and hugged him. She kissed his cheek softly. "I'm going to go back to my room. I'm taking a nap."
Her father nodded. "I'll come and get you when the meeting starts. It should be soon."
Seralyn nodded at her father. "Thank you." She smiled. She headed back up the stairs and fell asleep to the Beatles playing. The Beatles we're a muggle band. Her mother loved the band. She checked the time before her eyes started to close and she headed off to sleep. It was 8:27 pm.

Seralyn woke up to the sound of the door shutting. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs.
"Seralyn?" A voice called. It was her fathers. Sirius's face appeared in her door way. "Harry is here. We are about to start the meeting. Get ready."
She got up as her father retreated to go downstairs. She checked the time. She had been asleep for roughly 3 hours. It was 11 o'clock pm on the dot. Seralyn was wearing sweat pants and a long sleeved shirt. She changed her clothes for the meeting. She wore a black laced half sleeved shirt with a low cut neckline, showing some cleavage. She also had some ripped, faded skinny jeans on that hugged her hips, making her look absolutely stunning. Even if it was only her everyday clothes. She wanted to make sure she looked good for Severus.
Seralyn heard Molly ushering the kids upstairs, saying there is an adult meeting.
When Seralyn headed down the stairs, she heard so many voices. Kingsley Shacklebot, Alastor Mad-Eye Moody, Molly Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Emmeline Vance, Bill Weasley, Mundungus Fletcher, and her father. When she heard the last voice, she blushed. It was Severus Snape. She fixed her composure and walked into the kitchen. It seemed they were only waiting for her. Charlie Weasley was away in Romania with dragons, so he was not at the meeting.
Seralyn scanned the room for an empty seat. The only empty seat was right next to Severus. She did her best to hide a smile that wanted to show. She took the seat right beside him. This made him on her left side. On her right, Sirius sat. Snape smelled like coffee, freshly cut pine, and ink. She loved how he smelled. He leaned over to say something.
"Hello, Seralyn." Severus smiled softly. For many people, he acts like someone pissed in his Cheerios. But for her, he was nice to her. He treated her with respect.
"Hello, Severus." She looked at him in his soft, black eyes. She smiled back softly. He looked young. His black hair was cleaned and not greasy. His nose was perfectly shaped and not hooked.
Molly was casting some spells to make sure no one was listening.
Sirius cleared his throat, trying to get everyone's attention. "Okay, listen everybody. We need to start this meeting." The room smelled of Molly's cooking and Seralyn's stomach growled softly. Snape, being right next to her, could hear it.
He tried to cover a quiet chuckle, but Seralyn heard it. She playfully hit his leg under the table with her hand.
Snape grabbed her hand lightly to keep her from hitting him again, softly chuckling. Seralyn covered her face as she was grinning. Her hand was still captured by Severus's.
Sirius was talking about what they could do to keep Harry safe. "Severus? What is your update on Voldemort?" Seralyn's father asked the man, noticing that he was laughing.
He let go of Seralyn's hand and stood up. His usual facade was back. He wasn't smiling anymore. He took a breath in and started to describe what Voldemort was doing. Seralyn watched Severus.
Severus told the Order about Voldemort was doing. His eyes held anger for Sirius, Seralyn noticed. She knew her father bullied Snape when he was younger and a student at Hogwarts. "Voldemort is planning an attack... I'm not sure when or where just yet."
"Thank you Severus." Sirius nodded at him to sit down. "Is there any concerns or wishes?"
The people shook their head. "Very well." Seralyn's father said. "This meeting is adjourned."
Seralyn looked up at her father. He looked down at her and smiled. "Come here." He opened his arms for her. She stood up and hugged her father. Sirius sighed. "I love you, Lyn."
"I know you do, Dad." Seralyn smiled as her father used her nickname.
Severus had already walked out of Grimmauld place. He needed to talk to Seralyn.
"Can I go take a walk?" Seralyn asked her father.
Sirius really thought about it. "Be very very careful, please, Seralyn?"
She smiled and nodded at her father. She started to walk upstairs but saw The Golden Trio walking down them to go to dinner. She heard Ron ask Hermione something. "Why does she get to be in the meeting? She only 17."
"Shut up Ron." Hermione said to him.
Seralyn continued up the stairs, shaking her head slightly. She put some real shoes on instead of slippers. When she was ready she walked down the stairs and outside. She noticed Snape was standing the quietly. "Hey..." She said softly.
His head whipped around. "Merlin's Beard! You scared me, Seralyn." Severus put his hand on his chest, breathing a bit heavily.
Seralyn smiled. "I'm sorry, Severus." She sighed as she walked down the porch steps. Grimmauld Place disappeared as she stepped off of the porch. She stood in front of him. "What are you still doing here? I thought you had to leave."
He sighed. "I need to talk to you."
"About....?" Seralyn raised one singular eyebrow at him, not knowing what he meant.
"I have not told Dumbledore or any of the other Order members, so you cannot tell them either."
Seralyn nodded at the man. "Okay."
"Do you promise me, Seralyn?" Snape asked her, his eyes needing her to promise him. His stepped closer to Seralyn.
"Yes, Severus. I promise." She replied, seriously. She was studying him.
"Okay... You have a few cousins... Bellatrix Lestrange has four children. Two of them are with The Dark Lord." Seralyn's eyes widened.
"You mean..." Snape nodded. "Oh Merlin...." She ran her hand through her hair, anxiously.
"You will have to become a double agent, Seralyn. You have to get the siblings to trust you. But I will not allow you to become a Death Eater unless I absolutely have to allow you to."
"Why won't you allow me to, Severus?" Seralyn cocked her head to the side.
"Do not ask me questions like that, Seralyn." He rolled his eyes slightly.
"Fine." She smirked at him, her eyes sparkling.
"You must pretend you hate your father and what he stands for. You must act like you live another life."
Seralyn nodded. "How long have you known about these cousins of mine?"
Snape remained quiet while he collected his thoughts. "Do you know Abigail, Thomas, Cassius, and Sylvia?"
She nodded. Snape continued to talk. "Those are your cousins. Thomas and Abigail are full siblings. Their father is unknown. Cassius and Sylvia... Those are the children of Voldemort and Bellatrix."
"Okay... So... Talk to them... Become their friend... I got it..." Seralyn looked up at Severus. He was looking down at her. Her eyes still sparkled. The two of them were pretty close. Her hair fell from behind her ear.
Snape reached his hand up and tucked her hair back behind her ear. She blushed slightly, hoping he would not notice. "School starts in just a few short days. We should do some private lessons to make sure you have what you need to do programmed in your brain."
Seralyn sighed. "Yeah... School... Yay..." She rolled her eyes.
"You will do fine. You are exceptionally smart. You got this, Seralyn." He smiled at her.
The wind picked up and Seralyn shivered from the cold breeze. Severus noticed this and took off his coat and put it around her shoulders, his hand slightly brushing her bare skin. She shivered again and he noticed. "You really should have worn a coat. " He mistook this last shiver as a shiver from the cold. His smiled turned into a sarcastic smirk.
"You annoy me." Seralyn rolled her eyes, laughing softly. Severus laughed while shaking his head at her.
He checked his watch. "It's about time for me to go. Don't want your father to be mad at either of us." He scoffed.
"Yeah..." Seralyn sighed. "Bye." She smiled softly at him. She knew her father and Severus had a past, but she just hoped they would get along better.
Severus smiled back as he apparated, leaving her with his coat. She stood outside for a few more minutes, staring at the starry sky. She sighed. Seralyn looked around making sure no one saw her. She thought of Grimmauld Place and it appeared. She stepped on the porch and walked inside. The place still smelled like Molly's cooking. She heard everyone talking.
Seralyn waked into the kitchen and saw everyone. Her father was sitting at the head of the table. Harry was in one of the chairs next to him. The other chair was empty. Seralyn decided to go sit in it. Everyone was at the table, eating and conversing. She enjoyed hearing everyone talk.
Tonks was changing her hair and nose trying to entertain everyone. Ginny and Hermione were laughing boisterously. Seralyn smiled to herself, shaking her head just a bit. Sirius noticed his daughter come in and he waved her over. She went over and sat beside him.
"Who's coat is that?" Sirius asked his daughter.
"Oh, it doesn't matter, does it?" Seralyn said. She heard Mrs. Weasley talking to Mundungus Fletcher after he told the twins and Ron what he has been doing. "We don't need to hear anymore of your business dealings, Mundungus." She listened to them go back and forth until she heard her father speak again. "Molly does not like Mundungus." Sirius said, his attention going to his Godson
"How come Dumbledore has allowed him in the Order?" Harry asked quietly.
"He's useful." Sirius muttered and rolled his eyes slightly. "He knows all the crooks, but I figured he would, seeing he is one himself. He's also very loyal to Dumbledore." Seralyn knew Mundungus got in trouble, and Dumbledore helped him out. "Though everyone is furious at him for not keeping an eye on you when he should of. Anyway, I'm quite surprised, Harry," Sirius said, "You have not asked any questions about the Order. Do you have any questions about the Order?" When her father said this, Seralyn whipped her head around, knowing this was going to spark some kind of argument or disagreement. Everyone was now listening to the conversation.
"Sirius, he is too young to know anything about the Order!" Molly Weasley chastised him.
"Molly, he should know about The Order. The Order is to make sure Voldemort," there were visible shudders around the room at this name from everyone except Harry, Seralyn, and Remus, "does not rise."
"He's just fifteen, Sirius! Dumbledore said Harry does not need to know more than he needs to know." Molly said looking at Sirius.
"I am quite aware of what Dumbledore said, Molly. Now, Harry, do you have any questions?" Sirius turned to his godson with an inquiring look.
"I wanted to ask questions but Ron and Hermione said that we can not be in the Order. They said that we were too young." Harry said.
"Right they are." Mrs. Weasley said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Sirius, mate! Harry is younger than us, but you allow him to ask questions? You said we were too young, but Seralyn is 17 as well!" George Weasley said.
"Yes, Seralyn is my daughter. I can allow her to be in the Order. Molly is your mother. She has to approve it for you two." Sirius said, looking over at his daughter.
"Don't bring me into this George." Seralyn rolled her eyes.
"I did not want Seralyn to join either, but Dumbledore and Sirius both said it would be good. She is still too young."
"She'll be 18 in 25 days, Molly!" Sirius spoke, his voice gradually getting louder.
"She isn't Elizabeth, Sirius!" Molly shouted. At that, Seralyn stood up and walked out the door, her hands balled into fists. But before she made it outside, she heard what her father said.
"Do not just throw her name around like that! I know damn well Seralyn is not Elizabeth! I know the difference between them, Molly!" Sirius shouted, anger resonating in his voice.
Seralyn was furious with Molly. She had no right brining up her mother. Her breathing was rough and ragged from her anger. She closed her eyes and all of a sudden, she was three years old again and holding her parents hands. It was December 25th, 1980. She was looking up at their giant forms. Sirius looked younger, his hair not streaked with gray from stress. The Black family was walking in Godric's Hollow, going to the Potter's Christmas party.
They were celebrating the fact that Lily just found out she was pregnant just yesterday. The family finally made it to their destination and walked right in, not needing to knock.
"Sirius!" A young man grinned at Seralyn's father. The man was quite tall and he had black hair.
"James!" Sirius let go of his daughters hand and embraced his best friend.
Elizabeth shook her head, smiling slightly as she bent down to pick up Seralyn. "Come on, my sweet." She said in a soft, soothing voice as she walked to Lily.
Lily smiled, her beautiful green eyes sparkling. "Hello, Liz."
"Congratulations, Lil!" Seralyn's mother replied with the same, sweet smile.
"Well, Sirius," James said loudly, "Lily and I determined the fact that you will be our childs Godfather." He was holding Sirius by the shoulders, grinning like a fool.
"I love you, Lyn and always will." Elizabeth kissed the three year olds head and that's all she remembered as her mind and thoughts returned to 1995.
Seralyn placed her head in her hand crying softly. She was freezing. She did not notice the door open and close behind her, though she heard footsteps and felt the porch give way as someone sat down beside her.
"Hey, Sweetheart..." Sirius said, cocking his head and gazing at his daughter. He would usually get a reply by now. "Seralyn...?" He said softly as she removed her head from her hands and looked at him. Tears were still spilling from her eyes. He wiped his daughters tears and wrapped his arms around her. "I know... I miss her too..."
Seralyn wrapped her arms around him, embracing him as she cried into his shoulder. "I miss her so much, dad."
"I know, sweetheart. I know..." He started to stroke her hair, trying to calm the girl down. "Remember the positive memories..." Sirius started to think. "Does Dumbledore still have that pensive in his room?"
"Yes." She said softly, nodding against him.
"Okay... I could give you some memories of your mother. Dumbledore could too. We could send an owl to your grandmother Augusta, if you would like to see if she would send some memories? Do you think that would help?" He pulled back slightly, looking at her while smiling softly.
"Yeah... That would help quite a lot, dad." Seralyn had stopped crying. She looked at Sirius with a small, soft smile.
"Good." He hugged her once more and then sighed, pulling back again.
"Speaking of Dumbledore, what did he say about escorting Harry to his hearing?" She had a slight attitude as she felt the mood shift.
"No, of course. 'It's too dangerous, Sirius.' Too dangerous my ass." Seralyn could hear an eyeroll in his voice. "But it's probably whats for the best." He said, sighing again.
"I'm sorry. I knew you wanted to escort him.." She had felt jealous. As she rolled her eyes internally, she faked a smile. She stifled a yawn with her hand.
Sirius sensed his daughters jealousy. "Oh, don't be honey. It's more time to spend with my little lovebug." He smiled at her, reassuringly. He kissed her forehead as he ruffled her hair. "Everything is settled inside. The kids are asleep. Molly is in her room. And just so you know, I saw that yawn. You really need rest. It's already ten to 3 am." He checked his watch.
" But, dad, I don't need any rest and ther-"
"Hush," He said, covering her mouth with his finger. "You are not in trouble. You've been working too hard. Harder than any of us. Making sure everything is fit in the house. Making sure the meetings go well. You've been pushed too hard. Please just rest?"
"Fine." She yawned once more as Sirius grinned at her. "What's that grin for?"
Sirius didn't say anything as he picked up Seralyn, holding her like someone would hold a baby.
"Dad!" She complained while laughing. "I can walk! I'm not a baby!" He walked inside the house and headed up the stairs.
"Well, you'll always be my babygirl." He said as he opened her door, kissing her temple. He sat her on her unmade bed.
"I love you dad."
"I love you more, Seralyn." He booped her nose before covering her up.
"And I love you most." She smiled at Sirius. She enjoyed the warmth of the blanket and forgot that she was even jealous. "Goodnight."
"G'night, my lovebug." He turned off her light and closed the door behind him as he left her to sleep.
She closed her eyes and thought of everything. Her father, her mother, and especially Severus. She fell asleep to her thoughts.
