His words bounce around my head. I can't wrap my head around those words. Those 2 little words that will change my life forever.
"You're pregnant!" I choke out, still with my back to him.
"Why didn't you tell me when you first found out?" I finally turn, I'm pissed but the look on his face has all the anger drain from me. Pain. Pain that should never be on his face.
"I was scared. Yes the big bad Alpha King was scared." tears leak from his eyes. I have to stop and think of him. I'm the reason he's pregnant. At 18. I'm not angry at him anymore.
"I was scared you'll leave me." the look on his face told me his fear.
I walk over to him getting on my knees in front of him. "Leave you? Baby I loved you from the moment I met you."
"I could never be more happy then I am at this moment." I put my face in his stomach, and kiss it. "My baby is in there."
I feel tears in my eyes, I kiss him, putting everything into that kiss. The fear of him not wanting me, the anger I felt when he ignored me, the excitement of hearing him carrying my baby, the love I felt for him.
I pull away first. Then the truth comes crashing down. Shit! The Indian Invasion! If they find out my mate is pregnant they'll kill my mate and unborn child.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I stand and begin to paste What to do? What to do? Guards need to be around him at all times. I won't stand for anything to happen to him.
Zenith stands up fast, he gets dizzy as he does so. I run over to him sitting him back down.
"You're with child. You can't be moving around so quickly!" I scowl him
"But you said shit! What's the matter?" I can't tell him it'll put stress on him.
"Nothing love, why don't you go take a nap." I knew I said the wrong thing the second the words pass from my lips. He stands and gets in my face.
"You dare lie to me, then tell me go take a nap!" he screams at me angrily. Shit it's going to to be an emotional pregnancy. "Tell me now!"
Blowing out a breathe I decide to tell him. I remember pissing Rhea off when she was pregnant. Imagine my pregnant Alpha King pregnant and pissed. I sit him down. The pack needs to know to.
"You remember how I told you about the Indian Kingdom attacking my kingdom. Well the reason they attack is because my kingdom rules the seas, my grandfather Neptune split the kingdom into the oceans, with him ruling all, and having the kingdoms report back to him. Now the Indian Kingdom wants the power of the sea. I'm the next ruler of the sea. You my soulmate, now my pregnant soulmate is the only weakness I have. If anything is to happen you, you are my downfall, but as long as you are alive you make me the strongest in the world." I explain.
"You're Neptune's grandson!" The pack yells out shocked.
I chuckle. "Yes. Neptune Poseidon doesn't really matter what you call him is my grandfather. Amphitrite is my grandmother they're not really together. He's the play boybofthe sea. Nymphs are what we are originally called." I explain.
"So what you are saying is that my baby is in danger?" Zaya ask me with tears in her eyes. I look at her, pain in my eyes.
"I'll come up with a plan to protect him, I promise. I'll die before I let them take my mate amd child away from me." I say in a determine voice.
"You better Xenon, 'cause if you don't, I'll skin you alive fish boy." She grabs my collar kind of scaring me a little.
"Yes madam." I say keeping the fear out of my voice.
"Good." she let's go fixing my shirt. That woman is kind of scary.
I hear a yawn, turning to Zenith he's asleep. "What did I miss?"
"Do you want to see your baby?" Zaya ask taking the piece of paper from Zenith's hands. I nod my head, the paper is placed in my hands. Looking down I see my baby for the first time. The picture is gray and black, in the middle a peanut shape is in the middle. My baby. Tears come to my eyes.
"I missed the first ultrasound." I say my voice thick.
'There's always a next one." Zaya whispers.
"Yeah." I say my voice as still thick.
I hand the picture to Zaya as I pick up Zenith carrying him to his room. Tucking him in, I take my clothes off getting in with him. I wrap my arms around him, putting my hand on his stomach. That's how we sleep until morning.
