Maybe

I barley slept,

I barley ate,

The days we were estranged,

I'd just sit in the corner of my room,

Wondering how,

How in the world we got to this,

I still wore the necklace you gave me,

And still do,

The one with the rose with a 'N' on it,

Maybe I was just holding on too tightly,

Maybe I was dreaming too much of the past,

That would never become the reality,

Of the future I wanted.
