You arrived with Connor and Hank at the area that the Deviant was suspected to be in. You didn't really know what to do. Despite having your training, this was the real thing so any mistake could cost the entire investigation. You just stood there while Connor and Hank fought about where to look. They eventually settled to go into an abandoned house after checking a car and many other places.
When you tried to follow Connor into the house, Hank held you back. "It's not safe to go in there, Y/N! You don't know what's in there. Nothing probably." You sighed and stood back. Why would you want to follow an Android anywhere.
A few minutes past and you heard Connors voice occasionally. You wondered what was going on in there. You were concerned. No- why would you be? He's an Android. He can just be replaced.
Suddenly, there was a thump and a small yelp. You looked at Hank. He was bolt upright now, not leaning on the fence like before. Hank then ran into the house and called for you to wait outside. Why should you listen to him? You followed him in.
Connor was on the ground, having been pushed over and hitting his head on a box. He got up immediately and ran after the Deviant and the child. He was extraordinary fast. He was an Android anyway so of course he could run fast. You followed him outside as Hank hung behind for a second.
You were trying to run as fast as Connor. An Android wasn't going to outrank you. You could hear Hank calling after you. Why did he care so much if you went out? It was your job and a drinking slob wasn't going to stop you.
After what seemed like hours of running you saw Connor pressed against a fence. As you ran up to him Hank "ran" past you, completely out of breath. You pulled out your gun about to shoot it. "Don't shoot, we need it alive!", Connor yelled at you, sternly. A stupid Android wasn't going to tell you what to do. You took the shot. The Android dropped.
Hank, Connor and the little girl all stared at you. The sound of passing cars muffled as everyone's attention was on you. Hank looked disappointed. Connor looked pissed and the kid looked absolutely shell-shocked.
Connor signalled for the officers to take the child and the Deviant, all the while looking at you. Hank was already walking down the slim alleyway. You left too. You didn't know why you felt so ashamed, almost scared. Maybe it was the look Connor was giving you all the while you were walking away. Why should you give a damn about what he thought? He's just a robot. He wasn't really angry. You needed to get a grip. If you wanted to do your job you would have to be professional.
