Percy POV:

I leaned against the sandy shore of the lake at camp, tugging Annabeth's waist until she was seated in my lap.

"Really, Seaweed Brain?" My gorgeous girlfriend laughed. "You know, you can just ask me. I won't exactly argue wanting to sit in your lap." She turned to me and smirked. I rolled my eyes at her.

"C'mon Wise Girl," I teased. "It's not exactly a secret you love me." She rolled her eyes back. "Oh, Annabeth, what's that on your cheek?" I pretended to be concerned and frowned as I traced the corner of her lip. She started to sit up, also concerned, but I pulled her back down and kissed her, hard, before she could do anything else. I felt her smile into the kiss as her lips parted. I pulled her up so she was better in my lap and-

"And these are the Camp Lovebirds! They have a serious PDA problem, in case you haven't noted." Leo's loud voice announced.

Annabeth pushed me away and we both clumsily got to our feet to glare at the scrawny Latino demigod in front of us.

"Meet the newest campers, guys!" Leo laughed at our faces and the three kids behind him tried to fight smiles as well. He turned back to the newbies. "If Annabeth and Percy are both missing at the same time, just ignore it, unless you want to see a porno like we just witnessed.

"Leo!" Annabeth yelled. "They're literally 12, shut the fuck up!" I laughed at my girlfriend and put an arm around her.

"Wise Girl, they ARE 12 so you might want to be careful with your language," I pointed out to my pissed off girlfriend, who quickly looked sheepish. This time the new campers didn't even try to hide their laughs. "I'm Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, and this is my girlfriend-"

"Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena," She smiled at the newbies. "If you ever need anything let me know!" They just nodded and whispered among themselves. I grabbed Annabeth's hand.

"Let's go back to my cabin, Wise Girl," I said loudly, glaring at Leo. "And finish what we started," I added in a whisper. She giggled and we started walking away.

"Um, Water Boy!" Leo called out nervously. I kept walking, kissing Annabeth's cheek and tickling her waist. She giggled and snaked her own arm around my waist. "Chiron wants to talk to us, in the Big House!" I tried to keep walking, but Annabeth stopped us. She turned back to the son of Hephaestus.

"Do you know what it's about?" She asked him, starting to pull me back. I groaned but didn't bother resisting.

"Rumor has it, the Olympians are sending us back to Hell." He tried to chuckle but it died in his throat. Annabeth's grey eyes immediate latched onto mine as we looked at each other in horror.

"T-Tartarus?" I breathed, anger rearing in me. Just the word brought back the worst memories of my life.

"Not exactly," Leo frowned. "Even worse-"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE'RE GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL?" Clarisse's voice boomed in the distance. Annabeth and I froze again. Shit.
