I ran after the sun. He ran after me. Sweating and panting but still carrying on. The gravel crunched as another foot stepped on it and I could feel the stones against the thin sole of my old shoes. It was an uncomfortable feeling but I knew the view we were about to witness would be worth it, especially on this beautiful cloudless day. Suddenly, Jungkook tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hyung," he said between gasps of breath. "why won't you tell me where we're going? I'm tired and thirsty and my legs hurt..." He pouted and acted as though he was about to cry. Oh Kookie, I thought why are you like this? I took a deep breath and turned around to face him fully.

"I won't tell you because it's a surprise. You're tired? Let's find a nice place to rest. You want water? Here, I'll give you some. And don't worry about your legs, we're almost at our destination," I paused and then put my hands on his shoulders. "you know I'm always here for you, right?" I whispered and looked right into his big, brown eyes. He looked back. I could feel the tips of my ears going red so I turned away. Why was I blushing? What was going on with me? I tried to avoid Jungkook's eyes as I handed him a water bottle. He took it gratefully and swallowed half of the bottle in one go. A smile spread across his face.

"I guess hyung's got a little crush on me, hasn't he?" Jungkook teased. I snickered.

"And why would you think that? Maybe we've been outside too long. You know heatstroke can do weird things to your brain?" To that, Jungkook just laughed. He gave me back the water bottle and we continued our trip to the coast. We talked for the rest of the journey but the thing I couldn't stop thinking about was what Jungkook had said. And the way he'd blushed right after.
