Shiro was discharged from the Garrison hospital soon after his conversation with the Holt siblings. Matt had stopped by earlier inviting Shiro over for dinner. Colleen was making spaghetti and meatballs. Shiro could smell it before he stepped foot in their house. Colleen was an amazing cook, and he could barely stop his mouth from watering, after spending days on hospital food. Colleen gave him a hug.
"I'm glad you're okay," She said, smiling warmly at him. He smiled back, unable to hide the sadness that leaked into his gaze. I'm sorry. He wanted to say. It should be me in that coma, not Sam.
Instead he smiled at her and stepped inside.
