"Hey what are you doing?" Ross asks, coming up to me. I was sitting on the ground, shaking a fern. "You look like you're murdering a plant," Ross teases.
"I'm making a new skirt because you totally ruined mine last night," I say, rolling my eyes. "So thank you," I remark sarcastically.
"You're welcome," Ross says, winking at me.
I gently slap Ross on the head. "Yeah, thank you very much," I say.
"So what now?" Ross asks. I put down the fern and shrug. "I don't know, back to the usual maybe?"
"What is the usual?" I ask.
Before Ross can answer, the ground starts to tremble dramatically. Trees starts to fall around us like toothpicks.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING?" Ross yells.
"I DON'T KNOW, PROBABLY AN EARTHQUAKE!" I shout back.
A loud splash of water sounds as the ground beneath us stops shaking. "Are you okay?" I ask Ross.
"I'm fine," Ross says. "It almost gave me a heart attack though."
I laugh. "You man-boy."
Ross pouts. "I think something fell into the lake," I say.
"MAYBE IT'S A METEOR FROM OUTER SPACE!" Ross yells excitedly, jumping up and down.
"Again, man-boy."
I pick up a spear and walk towards the lake. When I get there, I gasp.
Unbelievable.
