Hi, quick talk before I get started on the story. As you may have guessed from reading the description, if you have read it, this story will be nearly 100% based off of my own feelings and thoughts. NOT my life. The main character has her own story, which you will read. Now, addressing the long absence from story-writing. I'm not going to say I'm sorry. Cause I'm not. It was my choice. For all of you who keep asking me to update, I don't think I will for a very long time. I've lost almost all interest in writing those stories, along with the stories themselves. I feel like my writing quality has degraded substantially and I'm honestly ashamed of those stories. This is the only story that will be updated "frequently."
Listen to the soundtrack above for 100% atmosphere while reading this.

"It's raining outside again. The third day in a row." She thought, as she looked through the window out at the rain. Thunder cracked in the sky in the distance, seemingly a warm sound, yet sad and distant. Rain bent over and pressed her elbow against the table, resting her cheek on her open palm. The smell of coffee filled her nose as her waiter came over to her table and placed what she ordered down.
Rain turned her head and flashed a fake smile at the man, who seemed a little too happy about the smile, but she paid him no more attention than was needed. As she turned her head towards the cup of coffee, the waiter left and let her arm fall to the table gently. As the rain outside got heavier, Rain lifted the cup to her lips and tested the temperature of the drink. As the coffee touched her lips, thunder crashed again, and Rain jumped from both the heat of the coffee, and the sudden crash of the thunder.
"Dammit." Rain muttered as she realized she spilled a little coffee onto her lap. Grabbing a napkin, Rain dabbed at the coffee, because wiping it would have spread it and made it worse. After she was satisfied with her work, Rain sat back against the booth she's spent many hours in. You see, the cafe was a common place for Rain. One of her favorite spots. She found it a few days after her first day here in this city, by accident. Rain had taken a few wrong turns and ended up right in front of the cafe, and with nothing better to do besides ask for directions, she went inside. Ever since then, she's come here when she needs to think or be alone, not that being alone was uncommon for Rain.
She has always been an outcast from society. All societies. She was never a goth, an emo, an anarchist, or even an activist with nothing better to do. She was always just... Rain. She never had any childhood friends to grow up with and to make memories with, eventually being able to reminisce about them. She never involved herself in any clubs in middle school or high school, much to her parents' dismay. She never was social. Rain was always just... not a part of anything.
Rain, who's name is actually Renii (Pronounced Renee), grew up in a small town just outside of a major tourist city. Every summer, her small town in the valley would flood with tourists from all over. Australia, Europe, Asia, and more. But Rain was always out of the loop. During school, she always kept her head down and watched her feet. Peers would bully her for it, calling her retarded, the school counselor asked Rain many questions, which, Rain knew, were designed to trick kids her age into unknowingly admit to having a mental disability of some sort just so the counselor could look good on paper, saying he/she helped many kids. Rain's parents met with the school counselor and knew that too, evidently refusing to put Rain on medication for something she doesn't have. Rain's parents knew she didn't have any mental disabilities, they understood that she was just uninterested in the insignificant playing and socializing of kids.
Eventually, Rain graduated high school with flying colors. All A's. A GPA of 4.5, and a full ride to any Ivy League school she wanted. Despite her accomplishment few achieve, she decided to go to the community college near her home town. This baffled her parents, but they never said a word. They knew she was smart, and she didn't need a Master's Degree in whatever education to prove it. Rain spent a year and a half at community college, until she dropped out and moved hundreds of miles away from her home town.
