I wake up to the cold breeze blowing through my window . The winter air bites at my shoulder and cheeks . I groan as I get up and close the window to see the beautiful sun slowly rising over the houses in my neighbourhood. It's nice to see this shit town in Canada show me beauty for once . I grab my phone and text my best friend Ashley . As usual she is the typical beautiful blonde hair blue eyes girl. She's 5'10 and absolutely amazing. she's everything I'm not . We are polar opposites. I have brown skin , brown eyes and curly black hair . I'm not that short though I'm 5'7 and I'm 16.

I walk over to my dresser and grab yellow off the shoulder crop top and light blue jeans and I paired them with a pair of black vans . I fix my hair and look in the mirror . I wash my face quickly and leave my room walking towards my little brothers room , Isaiah. He is 15 ,nice , funny , a sports man, he plays basketball and football and he's great at them .
I knock quickly on his door " get up !!" I hear him groan and I smile walking down stairs before spotting my mom . She is different from me . She's white. Most people assume I'm adopted . I'm tired of it .

My mother greets me with a wide smile " good morning sweetie " she says softly
I smile back and give her a hug " hi mom " I say before Isaiah cork stumbling down stairs
" Am I late ?!?" He quickly rambled and grabbed his lunch .
" no idiot your not late I woke you up early " I smile at him with a laugh that quickly followed .
Isaiah rolled his eyes and set his bags down
"Well I gotta go make sure your not late school starts in 30 minutes " Mom explained while grabbing her keys and walking out the door .
"So you have a game today ?" I asked Isaiah curiously.
" yes I have a football game after school mom said your driving me to the city and your watching my game then we're getting food " he told me while getting his books .
" ok well ask if any of your friends need a ride to football if you want " I told him grabbing my keys and looking at him
" actually Darren asked for a ride his mom is busy and his dad .. well you know " He said putting on his Jordan's
" yeah I do and tell him I don't mind he can come " I said softly
" he can sit in the front with yOu so you GuyS can Get ClOser and ThEN Fu-" he said until I cut him off
" ISAIAH!!!" I said blushing hard
" awww my older sissy is in love with one of my best friends how cute " Isaiah mocked her in a girly voice
" fuck off and get in the car" She rolled her eyes at him and laughed as she walked to her car and started the engine .
