LUNA'S P.O.V

I could hear my phone ringing from my purse only a few knew my cell phone number. I could only hope it was about the job I had no luck on finding work anywhere else. l crossed my fingers I picked up my phone unknown my Hart started beating faster . pushing answer I lifted it to my ear

"hello?"

"hello I'm calling for Luna Knight."

"This is her can I ask who's calling?"

"I'm Jade Madison from Maddox Inc. I'm calling to inform you

on the good news you got the job."

She didn't sound happy more on the snooty side. I didn't let that faze me I got the JOB!. I stayed natural and asked

"Oh thank you! when do I start?"

"you start tomorrow. Come by around ten that's when we open and we can get you all up to date on what you need to do".

"okay thank you again for this opportunity ill be there."

"Oh don't thank me thank Cole"

Oh I forgot about her boss..My boss now oh I can't believe it I got it!

"Oh yes of course thank you again"

It sounded like she huffed but I still didn't let it get to me.

"have a good day"

"Yeah you to goodbye" she sounding sickly sweet like she didn't want to be polite I wonder who was around her.

"goodbye" I hung up I let my phone drop to my bed and I jump up and down and squealed a little I'm doing it I'm finally getting it all together!.

I rushed to look for a outfit for tomorrow I wanted to look classy and professional but I didn't want to look I was trying to hard.

I didn't have much and what I did wasn't the greatest. I decided on a black skirt and a red tank top with a black cardigan over it. I had black kitten heels I can wear with it. I sighed this will have to do in till I can get money for a new outfit.

I put away the pile of clothes on my bed and grabbed clothes for bed shorts and tank top no one will see me everyone was in bed.

I got changed and before I go to sleep I always read or write but I decided to read. in was almost finished with pride and prejudice. I've read it many times but I just love this book I can't help but read it again and again.

I yawned and look at the clock 1:22 am. I need to sleep for my big day tomorrow. I started to feel nervous but I tried to tell my self I can do this I have been in this situation before I can do it again.

I fell asleep around two a clock and was up at eight. I needed to be there at ten.

I was washing my hair in the shower and their was a knock on the door. My hands stilled and my heart started pounding.

"I'm in here"

"it's just me Larissa can I come in"

My Hart started pounding harder no..no she can't come in here what if she sees .

"I'm almost done please while a minute"

She can't ever see she will ask questions. Questions I'm not ever going to answer.

"I guess but please hurry"

"I'm almost done a few more minutes"

"okay" I didn't hear anything so I hurried to be done I needed to get dressed..

By the time I was dressed and I hurried to get to my room before someone else sees me. I had a enough time to eat and get to Maddox Inc.

I looked in the mirror and I thought this will do I guess.

Everyone was in the kitchen. I'm so nervous I just get a bowl of cereal.

"Hey New girl" I looked up it was the brother of Cassie's boyfriend I think name is Josh.

"Yeah?"

Everyone is looking at us and my hearts starting to race. I need everyone to stop staring at me.

"Where are you from?"he looked genuinely interested but I didn't want to be fooled into thinking he was being nice. I normally don't care if people like me but I need somewhere to live.

As much as I love Mr and Mrs Clinton I can't go back there. At least not to live.

"I'm from New York city but I've lived here for a long time".

"Oh where do your parents live?"

I could feel my chest start to feel heavy

"I've never knew my father...but my mother passed away when I was younger." I looked down at my cereal avoiding everyone's eyes.

No one spoke for a few minutes. I was almost done with my food. I needed to be gone very soon anyway and I wanted to be out of here like now. I didn't need them to like me but I didn't want them to pretend to because they feel sorry for me either.

I got up and cleaned my dish I turned around and smiled. I can pretend nothing happened I have since I could remember.

"well I have to go or ill be late ill see you guys later" I smiled walking out the door.

they all spoke at once "see you later"

Well that wasn't awkward they acted like they never knew anyone that lost someone.

I practically ran to the bus stop to make it on time but I did it.

I got to the shop right on time. well maybe a few minutes late at ten eighteen it wasn't to bad.

Jade looked up with a smile when the bell above the door dinged. When she saw it was me she kepted the smile on her face but it became more fake. I could already tell she's a great actress.

"you made it Ill go get Cole just wait right here" she got up walking into the back before I could reply.

I'm so nervous not only did I really need this job and wanted to do good. I liked how I felt around him before. I shook my head what am I thinking I can't think about stuff like that he's going to be my boss. ugh I sighed

"Well Miss Luna Knight congratulations" I turned around at the sound of his voice..
