Chapter 1: Daydreams
—๑—
•Madison's Pov•
My daydream ends as the bell rings for my  next class. I sigh, staying quietly at my desk. I feel a tap on my shoulder
"You know the bell rang?" A boy asks me.
I nodded "Uh, yeah" I quietly say, staying in my seat.
"You coming?"
"No, thank you" I mumble as the boy left.
I sat in the cafeteria, alone as I heard the jocks and cheerleaders come in. I shook my head they were so obnoxious. I nibbled on my apple as i felt tap on my shoulder.
"hey, why are you sitting alone?" the same boy from earlier asks.
"just am" i mumbled.
"do you wanna sit with me and my friends?"
i shake my head "i'm fine, thank you"
"well, okay" he says, leaving.
i hear whispers from behind me, i ignore it.
"Madison's such a loser" one girl said.
"yeah. she has no friends" one laughed.
"i wish i could say i feel sorry for her, but i won't because i don't care" another says laughing.
i sat there quietly, hopelessly.
"we're talking about you, loser" one of the girls says snickering.
"good for you" i mumble.
"omg, she speaks!"
they all began laughing again.
"hey, girls! leave her alone, go fuck around with the boys and stay away from her" a boy said.
i heard the girls walk away.
"hey, you okay?"
i nod
"you sure, you don't want to sit with me?"
i nod again
"hey, what's your name?" he asks softly, as he moves a strand of hair out of my face.
"Madison Greene, my family call me maddie" i say quietly
"nice to meet you, i'm asher reynolds"
i nod "nice to meet you"
"am i allowed to call you maddie?"
i nod, "sure, if that's what you prefer"
"well, i love both names, they're very pretty"
i blush "well, thanks. i guess"
"hey can i get your number?" asher asks me.
i fumble for my phone in my pocket, handing it to him.
"no password?"
i shake my head "nope"
he hands my phone back to me and places his in my hands "here"
i quickly give it back to him "i don't need to, you can just text me" i turn away
"alright, well bye maddie" he says as he rubs my cheek before leaving.
"bye, asher" i say quietly.
