She opened her eyelids again, getting up
from the floor as she brushed off all the
nasty dust that had stuck to her clothes.

"Ah, much better," She remarked with a silly smile. She glanced around the room only to
be met with the havoc she had caused in
her angry outburst earlier. "Whoops"

Well, she wasn't planning on staying
there much longer anyway.

She walked over to the door which was made out of iron before she slammed her fist hard
on it. "Jeremiah, get your cheating ass
over here and open the door"

About a minute later, the door
unlocked as expected. "I told you I
won't let you out before you let it in"

"God, just move will ya?" She rolled her
eyes as she tilted to the side of the door frame.

"Or perhaps you already have?"
He questioned intriguingly, one of his eyebrows raised as his eyes traveled down
her body, before they rested on her face.

"How does one know the difference,
honestly" She replied carelessly as
she shoved him to the side, trying
to get by.

He took a hold of her wrist, spinning
her back around, causing her to stop up
right by his face. "How about a little test?"

"Alright, I'll play along" She whispered out with a small grin. "What would this test be?"

"You'll go to the precinct and check up
on good ol' James for me. If you've truly stopped fighting, you'll come back. If not,
I'll come for you" He let out threateningly.

"Deal" She replied with ease. That was the
best test she could've ever got. She hadn't
seen sunlight for nine days, so it would
be nothing but delightful.

She took her wrist out of his grip, before
she started to walk away.

"Oh, and love" He let out suddenly
with a gloomy tone appearing in his voice.
"I trust you'll make the right choice."

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see"
She retorted as she whirled around for
a split second, mischievousness
dancing in her eyes.

Everly tried as hard as she could not to
hit Ecco straight in the face as she sat across from her. She was applying makeup on her to make her look like she did before, to make her blend in with the rest of the civilians of Gotham.

"Hope we can put our little feud to the
side" She let out innocently as she started
to apply foundation on her skin.

Was she being serious?

"No, silly, I'll never forget your nasty lips
on my boyfriend's. Therefore, I'll never let
you forget how I felt about it" She let out bitterly, but, still, with a sweet smile on
her lips to hide how bothered she truly
made her.

"I think you're forgetting that your
boyfriend had a just as huge part
in it as me" She let out rudely, and as
Everly peeked up she could see that
'kind persona' of hers completely drop.

If something were to be called a
'punchable face' it would be hers.

"Trust me, I haven't. I'm just looking at it realistically. Why do you think he isn't with
you fully, huh? Why are you still his secretary,
doing all of his small dirty work? I'll tell you why, you're nothing more than a side piece, something to toss and turn when bored"

"He loves me" She let out dramatically.

Everly couldn't help but let out a laugh
at her pathetic-looking facial expression. "Interesting. Did he say so himself?

"No, not specifically" She replied truthfully,
her eyes insecurely on the floor.

"So, here's a tip, sweetheart, go find
yourself a man who doesn't have a girlfriend"

She looked up with what one could
call anger on her face as she crossed
her arms. "What if I don't?"

She let out a giggle as she took up a pocket knife, one that Miah gave her earlier in case anything would happen out on the street.
And, she started waving it in Ecco's face.

"Well, let's say I would hate to spill any
blood on this nice carpet, it would be
such a pity, don't you think?

"I see" she answered with nothing but resentment in her voice. She got up from
the chair she was sitting on and backed
scantily away. "You're makeup is done"

"Goody, now if you excuse me, I have
business to attend" She answered with yet another fake smile, not looking back at her ones as she left her standing alone there.

She hoped her little threat was enough
to keep her away from her Miah.
