Chapter 18 - Stairs

"I really think that's great, Chaii!"

Everything was so fast. Naramdaman ko na lang na inilagay niya 'yong kamay niya sa balikat ko habang kino-compliment ako sa plano ko.

I know it isn't much, pero ang weird and awkward lang. Actually, deep inside kinikilig ako pero I don't know why he's doing that. Wait-- what? What am I talking about? He's just congratulating me. Nothing else.

Ugh! Masyado na naman akong nago-overthink.

"So, what's the problem, then?"

"Ha?"

"You seemed so bummed out about it. Is it about that?" Tanong niya habang ngumunguya ng french fries.

"Yeah... kinda," sagot ko. He pointed towards his ears - gesturing na he is willing to listen to me. A chuckle escaped from my mouth when he did that.

"Well, I don't know how to start the business. Also, I have no capital and maybe investors to help and trust in me," tuloy ko.

The moment I said that, he looked like something snapped in him. He beamed at me and told me na meron siyang kilala na pwedeng makatulong sa akin. Napatango ako at napangiti habang kinekwento niya sa akin ang taong 'to.

Ang problema na lang ay kung pa'no ko siya makakausap dahil 'di kami close.

Sobrang tagal ng oras sa klase. Para bang naka-slow motion kaya sobrang bored na ako. I am already stoked toconverse with this guy. Ice said he already talked to him regarding my situation and how he can help. So far, ka-batch namin siya and is really good in business kasi do'n siya magaling and tine-training siya ng Papa niya to be the next CEO of his company.

Sana makatulong din siya sa akin.

"So, you'll be going home late, lil' sis?" Tanong ni Ate Clarisse sa akin habang nagpapalit ng damit para sa dance practice namin. Tumango ako habang naglalagay ng jacket.

"Yeah, I just have to meet someone kasama si Ice," banggit ko pa habang hindi tinatanggal ang tingin sa reflection ko sa mirror. Napansin kong napatingin siya sa akin.

"Wow, close na sila ni Ice," pang-aasar ni Ate. I felt my cheeks blush. I quickly shushed her. Baka may iba pang makarinig at kung ano na naman ang sabihin nila about me. I've had enough.
