Eren's cheeks turned a faint pink. "I kinda talk about you. Only a little though, every now and then."
"He talks about you a lot." Matthew corrected, Eren glaring at the man for outing him.
"Daddy and Mr. Matthew might have sex, but not the sex Daddy used to have. Different sex. Daddy said the other sex was troublesome and he couldn't keep me safe with it."
"So Mr. Eren isn't going to h—"
"Aki!" I covered her mouth before she could say it.
"So..." Matthew said awkwardly, his gaze downcast. "This was a great way to tell your roommate we're dating."
"I was, um, I was wrong before, Levi. I'm truly sorry for that, it's all on me. I messed up big time. But, I'm trying to get my act together now and Matthew is a part of that. He's a good guy, I promise." Eren confessed.
"I would hope you think I'm a good guy," Matthew added.
"Are you a good cop or the type of cop that shoots minorities?" Aki asked.
"Eren said he was a good guy, so I'd assume the first type."
"I've never shot somebody, or tased them, or anything of the sort. I tend to go for the 'talk it out' method if I can. Hate only causes hate." Matthew replied. "I would never injure somebody unless I had a damn good reason to do so."
Aki smiled, but her eyes looked dull.
I gave Eren and Matthew a genuine smile. "I'm glad you're finally happy, Eren."
Eren sent me a soft smile. "That really means a lot to me. Thank you, Levi, seriously."
"He has magic eyes too!" Toby yelled, having been silent for at least a minute or two studying the policeman.
"Magic eyes?" I asked.
"Not the same color eyes," Tobias responded. "Aki, look!"
"Heterochromia just like Papa and me," she noted.
"Yep! Heretocromia." The boy attempted to repeat.
"I think it's why Eren noticed me at all," Matthew joked, "That and the fact that I bought about four bottles of fabric conditioner in one week."
"Why would the heterochromia be why he noticed you?"
Matthew shrugged. "Intrigue? Maybe I just reminded him of you two and your heterochromia, I mean you are his family."
Eren looked away, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. "I'm gonna put the kettle on, be right back."
"Thank you, Eren," I said.
"Knock, knock, who all is here?" Chelsea asked, walking into my house. "And why is he just standing in the doorway instead of coming inside?"
"Oh, I'm sorry." Matthew apologized, letting Chelsea in. "I was just passing by and came to say hi, so I don't really want to intrude or anything..."
"You can come in. Eren is making tea."
Chelsea walked up to me and kissed me and Aki looked up at her and waved.
"Hello, Miss Chelsea. My name is Aki Masako Ackerman. Nice to meet you." She held her hand out proudly.
"You're Levi's daughter?" She asked, confused.
My jaw dropped. I talked about Aki a lot. How could she not remember?
"Y-Yeah. Papa does look young, but he is my father..."
