Peter gripped the popcorn bowl tightly as the villain swooped down and lifted the hero into the air with his giant metal talons.
"I warned you Spider-Man!" It screamed before throwing him directly into a pillar.
"AW MY POOR BOY!" Macka shouted launching herself off the couch and hugging the Spider-Man plushie lying on the ground.
"I-I thought I was your boy" Peter cried humorously.
Macka turned around still cuddling the stuffed toy and taking a seat back next to Peter. "I'm sorry Peter, he has won my heart" She replied sadly.
Peter put his head into his hands, "It's because of the abs isn't it?".
Macka rested her hand on his back and gave him a soothing pat. "Yea" she said quietly. Before the pair of them burst out laughing.
"Not gonna lie though, he does have smexy abs" She smirked playfully.
Peter shot his head up and stared at her. "HEY I HAVE ABS TO!" He cried. Macka flopped backwards onto the couch and began to laugh again, making Peter pout in anger.
"Hey I'm kidding, love" She said calming down. Peter folded his arms and turned away from her. She dropped the Spider-Man plushie and crawled over to Peters end of the couch. He scooted over a little bit more till she wrapped her arms around his torso and looked up at him with puppy dog eyes.
"I'm sowwy Petey" She said. Peter felt all the anger drain away and be replaced with nothing but Aw. He lifted her up to sit ontop of his lap and pulled her into a tight hug.
"I can never stay mad at you" He smiled. Macka giggled and hugged him back, the faint sounds of the movie playing in the distance bringing them back to reality. Macka turned her head a little and got a glimpse out of the corner her eye. Spider-Man was sitting against a wall, with his mask off and covered in dirt/ash just after he defeated the vulture.
"It'd be really cool to be a superhero though" she whispered.
Peter raised an eyebrow and looked down at her, "Pardon?".
"I mean, think about it?" She began.
"Wouldn't it be cool to be a superhero? Like Spider-Man, Iron-man etc. Just go around defeating villains and Baddies all over the city".
Peter nodded in agreement, "Yea I suppose that would be pretty awesome" he smiled. Macka then sighed in slight disappointment as realisation suddenly hit her expression.
"Yea. It's a shame we can't though" she frowned. Peter pulled her into a hug once more as they continued to watch what's left of the movie. But as they neared the end an idea clicked in Peters head.
'Maybe I CAN be a superhero' he thought.
