I am going to skip to the point where Kiera is a teen which will hopefully make it more interesting.

"KIERA, GET DOWN HERE NOW THERE'S A FAMILY COMING TO MEET YOU!"
Jenny shouted up to me. I was still getting ready so I quickly finished brushing my hair and walked out of the room I shared with Barbie Bitch, as I call her.
"Who would want to adopt you, I mean all the previous families who adopted you sent you right back here so clearly you got problems."
Barbie Bitch said to me as I was walking down the hall, a smirk on her face.
"Well at least I got adopted unlike some people who couldn't even make it out the front gates."
I retorted, but before she got a chance to reply I made my way down to the kitchen. I continued through into the front room to see a youngish man with blonde hair and hazel coloured eyes and a woman around the same age with brown wavy hair and hazel eyes; the same as the man.
"Kiera, this is Mr. and Mrs. Cullen and they're here to adopt you."
Jenny said to me with a creepy smile on her face. She clearly wasn't happy I was being adopted but she couldn't do anything about it.
          "Really?"
I said sounding surprised, I smile appearing on my face.
          "Yes, really."
The man said walking up to me. "Now why don't you pack all your stuff whilst we go and sign the papers?" I ran upstairs and packed all my belongings, I was so ecstatic, I couldn't wait to get of this place. Strangely, I felt different about this adoption, like this was the family; the family that would I would stay with for life.
"I wouldn't get too excited if I was you."
Barbie bitch said to me snapping me out of my thoughts. "Their only going to send you back when they find out about all your problems." She smirked then walked away. I sat on my bed, she's right once they find out about my self-harming and the fact that I have Anxiety, Depression and I'm Anorexic they're going to send me right back here because they won't be able to cope with it all. My lungs started to feel tight so I took a puff of my inhaler.
          "Kiera are you ready?"
I turned around and Carlisle was standing at the door. "Are you alright?" He asked with concern in his voice
          "Yes, I'm fine."
I tried smiling to reassure him; as I placed my inhaler on the top of my cloths and closing my case, I don't think he believed me though.
         "Ok, let's go then."
He replied not fully satisfied. He picked up my case and we walked out to the car. The car journey was pretty long and the conversations that took place went something like this.
"So Kiera, how old are you?"
Esme asked, turning back to look at me.
"I'm 17; my birthday is on Valentine's Day."
          "Oh, how lovely."
Esme replied with a smile on her face. This information clearly conjuring up excitement.
"What do you like to do in your spare time?"
Carlisle asked me, being careful to stay concentrated on the road ahead of him.
"I love to listen to music, Read and laze around, I usually hang around alone, I preferred it that way at the orphanage. The other kids didn't always play nicely with me."
I replied, a sad expression appearing on my face at the thought of all the mean words the kids would call me and all the physical abuse I received from them.
"Ah another musician, you will get on well with Edward. Do you play any instruments?"
Carlisle asked me, curiosity clearly in his voice.
"I play the flute, Saxophone, Piano, Guitar and Ukulele; I also recently started learning the Clarinet. I would spend most my time down at the music store teaching myself, when I was allowed out of the orphanage that is."
And what type of music do you listen to?"
          Carlisle then asked.
"Well, I like Punk, Rock, Metal and stuff like that. And no I do not wear all black and look all emo."
I replied feeling a little bad at my harsh tone. "I'm sorry, its just people always look at me and think of me as a freak."
"You could never be a freak Kiera, I have known you for 30 minutes and I think you are amazing."
Carlisle tried to reassure me. I smiled and looked down embarrassed.
"Now, what do you want to know about us?"
          Esme said smiling at me.
          "What do you work as?"
I asked curiously, I couldn't for the life of me work out what either of them worked as.
"I am a Doctor at the local hospital and Esme works from home as an architect." Carlisle said. "Now as a Doctor and your legal guardian is there anything I need to know about like any medication you take or any other problems you have?" He said in a worried tone.
          "I have asthma."
          I said.
          "Is that it?"
          He asked.
          "Yes that's it."
I said lying to him, I didn't want to lie, but i didn't want them to send me back either.
          "Are you sure?"
          Carlisle didn't sound convinced.
          "Uh... No..."
I replied hesitantly, not being able to stop the guilt washing over me. "But please don't send me back to the orphanage, I promise I won't be annoying or a pain in the ass." I pleaded, starting to panic that they would change there minds about the adoption.
"Why would we send you back?"
Esme asked sweetly. "Whatever is going on we will only ever help and support you. Now why don't you tell us what's wrong?" Her smiled widened even more as I could feel her love pouring off of her. I took a deep breath and calmed myself ready to tell them my story.
          "Well..."
I started. "About a year ago I was diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety after..." I trailed off, not wanting to tell them about my self harm.
          "After what?"
Carlisle asked taking s he turned onto a narrow road.
"After I was caught self harming and then admitted to wanting to end my life..."
I trailed off again, embarrassed and ashamed.
"Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you felt that was the answer to your pain."
Esme had a kind and sympathetic smile on her face. I then continued to talk about my health.
"I was prescribed Fluoxetine and sent for counseling and although it helped a little, it wasn't enough and 1 month ago I was diagnosed with Anorexia... I'm so sorry I'm so problematic, you should have chosen..."
I was cut off by Carlisle.
"Don't you dare, we chose you because we thought you were perfect, we didn't want to adopt anyone else other than you."
He stopped the car and turned round to smile at me. "I promise you we will do everything we can to help you get better and everyone will be very supportive." He smiled again then continued. "Well, we're here."
"Time for you to meet the rest of the family."
Esme said sounding really excited. I went to pick up my bags when I heard Carlisle say,
          "Here let me take them."
          "Thank you."
I said smiling at him. He led me into a massive house, almost like a mansion, but so much more modern. So much light was getting into the house, and everything looked so beautiful. It was like something from a dream. I was led into a massive room that looked to be the living room. It had 3 sofas and 2 armchairs. A flat screen T.V with a Wii, x-box and PlayStation and 2 big piles of games with a cupboard of DVD's next to it. The kitchen was built in with the living room and it looked so clean it was as if they never used it.
          "Hello, I'm Alice."
A girl with short, dark hair said snapping me out of my thoughts. She was quite short and looked to be about 16. Her skin was really pale and looked, well, perfect. She had golden eyes and her fashion sense was amazing, by the looks of her outfit.
          "Hi."
I said a bit shyly. "I'm Kiera." I held out my hand for her to take. She hesitated then carried on speaking.
         "This is my boyfriend Jasper."
She said as a boy with blond curly hair walked into the room. His skin and eyes were the same as Alice's but he seems to be older than her, about 18; and he was a lot taller than her.
          "Hi, I'm Kiera."
I said not properly looking at him.
         "Hello."
He said with a strong Texan accent. His body kept shifting, he was clearly feeling uncomfortable.
"Anyway, I'm Emmett and this is my girlfriend Rosalie."
A tall, well-built man said waling down the stairs. He looked as though he could wrestle a bear but could only be about 18. The girl next to him had georgouse blond hair but her face had a scowl on it, she didn't look happy that i was here. I shook the thought away as I heard another voice from behind me say,
         "And I'm Edward."
I turned round to see a boy around 17 with dark hair starring at me. 'So he's the musician Carlisle was talking about. How can he not have a girlfriend he is so cute.' He then smiled at me and walked away.
"Why don't I show you your room so you can unpack."
Alice said to me breaking the awkward silence. Then tomorrow me and Rose can take you shopping for new clothes.
          "I would love that."
I replied with a big smile on my face. Rose huffed then stormed out the room. What is here deal? What have I done to make her hate me?
          "I see someone likes shopping."
Emmett said once he saw the smile on my face.
"Actually, I have never been shopping before."
I said slightly embarrassed. Alice then let out a gasp.
"How can you not have been shopping before." She said in complete shock. He face then dropped as she processed what I had just said.
"When I first turned up at the orphanage they gave me a set of clothes and said these will have to last you until you leave here, if you ever leave."
They all looked at me with a sad expression. "But I am glad that my first shopping trip will be with you, you seem like an amazing person that I will definitely get on with." Alice smiled at me and then walked over and gave me a big hug.
"That is the nicest thing someone other than Jazz has ever said to me. Now let's show you your room."
She led me up the stairs and along a corridor and stopped at the room right at the end. She opened the door and I swear I nearly passed out at the amount of space that was in front of me. "So what do you think? "
"This is amazing, I absolutely love it. Thank you so much."
"No problem, now I'll let you unpack."
She left the room and closed the door. I went and sat on the bed and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
"Kiera!" Someone said lightly shaking me. "Dinners ready."
I stirred a little then opened my eyes.
"Oh, uh... thanks, I'll be down in a minute"
          "Ok."
Alice said standing back and walking away. I slowly got up and checked myself in the mirror before downing a glass of water. This is going to be interesting, I thought to myself as I walked down stairs. When I got to the kitchen there was a plate on the table and everyone else was in the living room. I took this chance to put half of the food in the bin so it would look like I had eaten. I then mixed up what was left and sat there until Esme came in.
          "How was the food?"
          She asked smiling at me.
          "It was delicious, thank you."
I smiled but deep down I felt guilty for lying.
"You can go and sit with the others if you want, I will clean this up."
          "Thank you Esme."
I got up and went to sit on the sofa next to Edward. Jasper and Emmett played on the PlayStation and Edward was reading a book. The rest f us just sat talking. At around 9 I decide to go to bed as I was feeling tired. "Night everyone." I said as I walked up the stairs. When I got to my room I had a quick shower and then got my Pj's on.
