The person whom Henry was referring to lowered his head while looking straight on the floor. After some seconds, he spoke, "Tama ka.
The guard's authoritative figure faded after we'd seen this side of him. His strong built defy the character that he's currently showing to us.
"So ibig sabihin, may alam din dito si Tatay? Pati-" Before the waitress could continue, Henry cut her question off.
"The waiter is in different shoes. His silence means that he's confused on what's happening, which was opposite of the guard. Meaning, he's too shocked to speak because the events were too unfamiliar for him. Sino bang hindi matatahimik kung wala kang alam sa nangyayari but your environment says that you may be involved with it? His face tells that he's linking something on something. That behavior, I will point out further much later."
The waiter started to say something, but then he hesitated. Henry as expected, stole the spotlight again, "Since I already mentioned our two types of silence in this situation where one is keeping quiet because he witnessed something that could link with the mystery and the second was a shut of mouth because he is unfamiliar with the mystery yet factors says that he's involved; let's present the third shall we? A silence of hiding something."
Hindi pa nakakarating ang mata ni Henry sa Manager, napatalon na ang katawan nito.
"Ooh. Something's bothering you Mr. Manager or Mr. Chef?"
"A-ah. W-wala." the Manager nervously respond.
"If there's none, is it okay to tell them a secret?"
He neither approved or disapproved. Instead, he made a worried expression.
Hindi na hinintay pa ng waiter na mapanis ang laway niya. His curiosity killed him so as to speak, "A-anong sikreto?"
"I'll make this fast and straight. The restaurant is not really owned by the Manager or Chef as you initially thought but the establishment was actually owned by Ms. Flyer Girl or should I say, Mr. Angelo Lee."
Tila nabuhusan ng tubig ang mukha ng Manager at ng Flyer Girl. They are both pale.
"I have a proof to begin with. Though wala sa akin ngayon ang actual evidence, but a friend of mine captured a picture of a check. Let me see,"
Henry pulled his phone out of his breast pocket, opened its screen and after some seconds of click, he showed a picture to everyone which as I could see, a compilation of different category of numbers that are formed through columns and rows, "My friend retrieved this from the bank's data where Mr. Manager who has the real name of Stefen Cuano received money worth 10 million last last week.
"It doesn't end with that for he receives 5,000 pesos daily from the same account name that hides its true identity. The account which was the source of this good sum is under the name of Alejo Fontagio. It's pretty simple that when I investigated who Alejo Fontagio is, I quickly landed on Mr. Angelo Lee who came from New York about a week ago.
"This Alejo Fontagio account deposited 10 million to a bank in New York and as I investigated, the 10 million check was received by a Filipino who stays in the place. This 10 million act happened estimatedly two weeks ago. If I could remember, the Manager said that he came to Philippines about two weeks ago.
"By then, this account from New York under the name of Alejo Fontagio deposits 5,000 pesos daily from New York to Manila where Mr. Manager here or Stefen remained. After a week, Alejo Fontagio deposits his money from Manila to Stefen of Manila. That will made us think that Alejo Fontagio was in New York two weeks ago and just about a week ago, he came to Manila. Correct me if I'm wrong, but once I asked Ms. Flyer Girl when I first met her about some little things of her life and she slipped unconsciously for she said that she came in here about a week ago. Just in time for the moment of restaurant's opening." Henry gave a smile that could make the guilty cringe.
