As the two stepped onto the crowded dance floor, their hands and hearts connected, they began to feel the beat of the music. It took over their body, invaded their brains. A song they would later recognize as "What Is Love" by Jaymes Young began to play as they grasped each others hands, beginning to dance.
The music swept the world away. The boy turned the girl, her dress flying up ever so slightly. The lyrics played images in their heads of the violence of the past. The girl grabbed ahold of the boy once more, their steps becoming more meaningful with each passing second. The music ran through their veins, their dancing becoming rougher.
"I need you forever," the girl sang. She thrusted herself towards her dancing partner, shoving not only herself but her trust, faith, and fear towards the boy.
He gladly accepted, spinning her once again, ready to shower her in love.
Together, as the song came to an end, they sang a question they both craved an answer to: "What is love?"
