Jeongin was still nervous to meet Chan's father, he hadn't seen him in so long, but he was determined to be strong. For Chan. Chan pulled Jeongin through a series of winding hallways and passages. Jeongin knew he would never memorize his way around this place. Chan brought Jeongin down to the lower floors of their den. These levels resided under the mountain and housed many of their elders, who liked the cold temperatures. Food and various supplies were also hidden down here, because in emergencies everyone would flock down there. Chan's father lived on the lowest level of their system. After many flights of stairs and long hallways, they had finally reached his door. Chan knocked three times before opening the door. The room was dark and lit by a single torch near the car wall. The room had stale vibe to it, like the same air had been in this room for years without circulation. "Father?" Chan called into the room. "In here!" They heard a man call. His voice was loud and deep. Jeongin felt anxiety creep into his veins. He decided to try and hide his nerves. He didn't want Chan thinking he was afraid. Chan led Jeongin into a room off of the one the were in. It was equally as dark but had a central light shining down on a desk. Chan's father turned in his desk chair and saw Chan and Jeongin slide into the room. "Jeongin?" Chan's father asked. "H-hello sir." Jeongin said with a bow. He mentally kicked himself for stuttering and wished he could gain some confidence for once. "It's been so long." His father laughed coldly. Jeongin lifted his head and saw Chan's father stand and walk toward him. He was suddenly pulled into a hug by the intimidating man and patted on the back. "How've you been, son?" He asked warmly. "Good." Jeongin replied. His nerves relaxed a little. "How'd you get here?" Chan's father asked. "I found him in a cave. He was all alone." Chan piped in. Chan's father drew a confused face. "Why were you alone in a cave?" He asked. Jeongin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I...I ran away from home." He admitted. Chan's father sighed and patted him on the shoulder. "Well, you're welcomed here." He said. Jeongin smiled and thanked Chan's father. Chan stood against the wall while Jeongin and his dad chatted away. Chan was glad they were on good terms and Jeongin had nothing to worry about. Chan also wondered if his father had been informed on Felix's whereabouts. Either way, he was sure his fathers demeanor towards Jeongin wouldn't change. "Jeongin. Let's go meet some of the others." Chan interrupted. Chan's dad quit speaking a gave his son a glare. "Fine. Sure. See you next year when you decide to visit." His father put a hand over his heart and started to fake cry. "You don't visit me either! We're both-" Chan's father dropped the act and began laughing at Chan's reaction. "We're both busy, I know~" Chan rolled his eyes and dragged Jeongin out of the room. "Hyung?" Jeongin spoke up as they began their journey through the lengthy hallways. "Yeah?" Jeongin squeezed Chan's hand and smiled. "You're dad was really nice." Chan smiled back at Jeongin and squeezed his hand back. "Told you."
