THE moment I regain my consciousness, the smell of alcohol and other medical scent lingers on my nose.

"Hi. How are you? How are you feeling?" Napatingin ako sa aking kaliwa. There was a man, wearing a black hoodie, and he's staring at me.

"Wait here. I call your doctor to check you first" He said then leave.

I moved my right hand to check my watch.

"What happened? My are you holding your head?" The man hurriedly checked me.

"Sinubukan ko kasing umupo tapos biglang sumakit ang ulo ko" I opened my eyes and looked at him

It took a second before we looked away at each other.

"Ah, I think I should check you first para hindi nako maka istorbo sa inyo"

Biglang nag init ang pisngi ko sa sinabi ng doktor. Walang imik ako habang kinukuha nya ang vital signs ko at may kung ano rin syang tinatanong saakin.

"So miss--"

"Sam, doc. My name is Sam"

"Oh, okay. So Sam, what happened to you is a body shock. Mr.Way told me already that he almost hit you"

"Ah yah. But I did not get hurt"

"Yes, you don't. So there's nothing to be alarmed"

"How about my head doc. I felt like my head was hammered. It's the first time I felt that kind of pain"

When the doctor exited the room, me and the man with the black hoodie remain.

He did not respond, but he opened a cabinet beside the window. I'm in a private room though. And private room means I'm rubbed! I have no cash with me!

"Here it is" nilagay nya ang bag sa tabi ko.

"Call me Ink. That's my name"

"Okay then. Ink, thank you for bringing me here. Pero sana hindi mo na ako pina dala dito sa private room. Mahirap lang ako. I can't afford to--"

I smiled awkwardly "Thank you"

"Welcome. Pwede ka na palang lumabas ngayon sabi ng doktor mo"

"Okay, I'll just fix my self"

Pagkalabas nya ay agad narin akong nagtungo ng c.r. Wala namang nakakabit na swero saakin kaya wala ng problema.

May nakita akong paper bag na may lamang damit pambabae. I used it because I assumed its for me. Wala namang ibang babae dito maliban saakin.

I wore a maroon romper dress and a white flat shoes. I also applied a little bit of blush and a lipstick to hide my paled face.

"San kita ihahatid?"

"Ah sa ****** condominum nalang"

The whole ride is so quiet. Thank God we already reached our destination.

"Thank you Ink"

He give me a half smile "Welcome. And please, pag naglalakad ka tumingin ka naman sa dadaanan mo para hindi ka madisgrasya"

"Yes. Noted" I said then chuckled. "I gotta go now"

Tumango lang ito saakin.

Habang paakyat ako ng unit ay tinext ko si David na i-excuse nya muna ako ngayon dahil hindi ako makakapasok. Saktong pag send ko ng message ay sya ring nag bukas ang elevator.

Habang papalapit ako sa unit ay may pamilyar na bulto akong nakita. Napatingin ito saakin habang kunot ang noo
