Iris's POV:

Life is like a marathon and every person in the run is simply a person who is living his or her life.

We keep running till one day we come to the end of our race but this end is different for everyone.

Even the way their race ends is different, for some end their race themselves, some meet an accident, or some naturally come to a halt. This end that puts a stop to our marathon is death.

No doubt there are many problems and obstacles a person faces during the race and sometimes it becomes very hard to face these hurdles on your own so you try to find someone else who will stay by your side while you both shelter each other.

That one person that you find becomes your partner in life. You support each other through life and help the other up when they fall down and make sure that all their problems are not faced alone.

It was also my wish to find someone with whom I would fall in love, support, take care, share intimate moments, shelter, help and do so many more things to.

But all those dreams and wishes of mine went down the drain today.

I was now laying on my bed staring at the ceiling, the thoughts all rushing through my head in an attempt to find a solution for my problem.

I felt really bad about the fact that because of me Elliot was being forced into a relationship he did not want to commit to.

He was most certainly not so thrilled about being forced into a marriage with me and I hated the myself for not being able to do anything about it.

Clara was not someone to be messed with because she was already pretty messed up in her head.

I called Elliot and told him that I agreed to marry him but he said he there were some rules which were set and I had to follow them, so we decided to meet up in a cafe nearby.

I decided to keep it simple and dressed in an above knee white dress which was tight at the waist and lose at the ends. It stuck to my waist making me look better.

It was pretty simple but had small flowers on the chest with small holes in a column which made three columns of holes. The sleeves were long but flowy at the ends.

I paired the dress with light brown boots and just kept my hair open.

Dabbing on a bit of mascara and BB cream on my skin, I set out for the cafe. Being the punctual person I am, I arrived seven minutes earlier then the decided time and to my surprise, Elliot had already arrived.

When I walked in the cafe, the door made a jingling sound indicating that a customer had arrived.

Elliot looked at the door and made eye contact with me, after which he took his time in studying me form head to toe.

This simple action made me very self conscious and I decided to hurry over and sit down. Extending my hand to Elliot I greeted him in a formal way to which he replied in the same tone.

He looked really handsome with those black shirt and blue jeans.

One could see his muscular structure from only one look and it wasn't hard to tell that the man worked out.

I was checking him out but I was so good at looking at things without actually looking at them that he couldn't tell that I was looking at him. Rather I looked as if I was deep in some thought.

Clearing his throat, Elliot looked at me and said "Since both of us have agreed to the marriage let us go through the rules which were presumably stated by your mother and my father." I nodded my head in understanding.
