There had been seven days, seven whole
days since Jeremiah bombed Gotham and everything changed for the worse. The city
was closed off, no way in or out, and they
were left with the dangers lurking around every corner.

In her case, the danger was right in front of
her, the danger named Jeremiah Valeska.
The one's pure man, the most brilliant and
kind she knew. But, he was far away from perfect, something she wished she knew
from the start.

He had loud demons in his head, most could say it was from his childhood. It stems from
his alcoholic and abusive mother, the lack
of a father figure and not to mention
his tormenting twin brother.

To try to get rid of the demons in his head
and his struggles he hired a therapist to
help him, that was her, Everly Mills.

Little did she know when she knocked on
his door that first time that she would fall hopelessly in love with him, his ginger hair,
his laugh, his glasses, his everything.

And, to fall in love with him was the most reckless thing she ever did.

He was no longer her Jeremiah, he
had turned into something completely opposite. She didn't recognize him
anymore, not in mind nor look. And, the strange part was that even though he had become like that, she still loved him. It was
something she wasn't able to control.

Jeremiah had a goal, a goal to bomb Gotham and change it for what he meant was the better. I'm the end he managed it and she was sat alone, being held captive by him. She didn't know it was possible but he had become more vicious than ever before.

She thought the way he was before the bombing was bad, but she didn't know
what was going to hit her. When his plans came true he felt invincible, he was the
creator of no man's land, and knowing
that boosted his ego by a hundred.

At first, when he took her over his shoulders and disappeared with her, she thought he would kill her. But, why then would he
keep her alive for seven whole days.
It didn't make sense.

Either way, she didn't know what to do with herself, she shouldn't still be in love with him, it wasn't good for her. He cheated, he lied and he used her. It was extremely toxic, even she knew that. But, it felt like she was addicted
to him, to it all. And, if something were to happened to him she  would have gone
through a withdrawal hundred times
stronger than any drug would do.

She hated herself for that, she didn't want
to be in love with that type of a man. The
type of man that would kill anyone without
a second thought. It must have been true
what they say — good girls get attached
to the dark, the unknown, the bad.

But then again she didn't know if she
was a good girl at all anymore. Not after everything she did after being sprayed by
the insanity gas. Maybe it only was the
true her coming out.

And, even though the insanity gas so far
hadn't returned, she still had the looks it
gave her. The same snowy skin, the red lips,
and the same white hair with the edges
half pink, half blue.

If she took a step out on the streets of
Gotham everyone would only recognize
her as the crazy girlfriend of Jeremiah
Valeska. There was no way she could ever
get her job back as a therapist with that
image on her. She would forever be
recognized as just another villain.

She sat there, in a warehouse
somewhere unknown, locked up in a
room just waiting for what would happen
when Jeremiah got back. She heard the loud noises outside and she was wondering what
the hell was happening to Gotham city.

Before she knew it she heard a clicking sound in the door to the room she was locked into
and anxiously got up from where she sat.

Her eyes landed on the open door where
he stood, she also spotted Ecco further
behind him which caused her to feel a bit
hurt. She wondered what the two of them
were. Did Jeremiah have a thing for her
or was he just simply using her?

She backed further away into the corner of
the room as Jeremiah walked in, closing
the door behind him.

"Aw, you scared of me, love?"
He remarked with a mocking laugh.

He started to make his way closer to her, humming slowly on a song which only
freaked her out further. He drew so near
that he was right in front of her face.

"Get away from me" She spat out,
looking away from him.

He grabbed her neck tightly so she had
no other choice but to see him. It felt like
she was unable to breathe, his hand only tightening more around her neck, a single
tear running down her eye. He wiped it
away instantly.

"I thought we established that you had
nothing to be scared off, didn't we dear?
He said sinisterly, looking straight into
her eyes as he let go of her neck,
making her gasp for air.

He had never done anything like that before, he had never been abusive. She felt confused, shocked, and more than anything, angry.

"Just know Jeremiah this is the start
of the end for you. Don't you know, villains never win. You think you're invincible,
you're not" She let out in pure spite.

She thought he'd get mad but instead, he let
out an amused laugh, as if it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard before.

"You're so naive. You've seen what I've done
to this city? The fear I've spread everywhere, well, It's all just the beginning, you haven't seen anything yet" He smirked maliciously.

"I hate you, I hate you so fucking much"
She let out, hitting him straight in the chest.

"If that's true, why are you still so madly
in love with me?" He questioned with a
raised eyebrow as he pressed her into
the cold wall with his body.

She didn't want it to feel good, his body
on hers. Her mind was telling her to
push him off, but her body refused to.
He knew it, he knew her weaknesses.
How to manipulate her, he knew that she
most likely couldn't resist his touch.

"That's not true, I don't have any feelings towards you anymore. Y-you fucking
cheated, you used me, and you think it's
all just a silly game"

"Oooh? is that so?" He whispered into her
ear with a haunting laugh which sent
chills down her whole body.

"It is, I don't" She replied quickly.

"Look me into my eyes and tell me you
don't love me then, You won't manage it"
He smirked with superiority dancing
in his eyes.

"I- don-" She locked eyes with him trying
to make the words slip out of her
mouth. "I don't- lo-"

She tried to say it again but was
unsuccessful. Why didn't she manage
to say it? It was simple words, but why then was it so painful to get it out of my mouth?

He looked at her with satisfaction, because
he had managed to prove some sick point.

"That's what I thought. You know, you think it's all over. The darkness within you, but it's still there fighting it's way out. The only reason you've managed to make it go away for a second is because you're fighting it, but it
will catch up with you"

She knew he was right, she could still hear
the voices inside of her mind, it was just
a matter of time.
