25. Tieing knots

Turning my head towards him, I raised my brows "Your purpose?"

"Amy's purpose I mean... and Kshitiz's purpose too..... they have worked really hard for you, you know!" He shrugged his shoulders. There was a certain warmth in that gesture. It made me feel good. Though I felt indebted at the same time.

"That was not needed." I murmured softly.

"Ofcourse." He smiled at me. "If you people are really destined to be together, you'ld have surely met some day and resolved your differences without our help. But guess what? That day wasn't supposed to be so soon Nitara... You people would have wasted a couple of years before reaching that day finally!"

"True that." I nodded agreeing. And I guess this was the time to express my gratitude in return of the favour that I accepted but never chose to admit. "Umm..Addy..." I began speaking.

But he cut me off in the middle and blabbed instead- "See, if you are really willing to thank me then please do it properly."

"Properly?" My brows furrowed up in confusion.

"Hmm... like you can have a dance with me... or maybe a bear session. I won't mind either of them you know!" Said he.

And I was panic striken all of a sudden!

"Arey! But my husband will mind yaar!!"

"Just now you said that he won't misbehave with me anymore! Did you lie about it then? I mean.. am I still not safe??"

"Nooo, its not like..."

-"Did I hear you guys discussing about me?" The third voice came from the back.

Dev's voice it was.. a warm, soothing, meliflous tone that felt like molten honey to my ears... just enough to melt me down as well.

"Ofcourse! You are centre of this universe na!! How can we not discuss about you, bro?!!" Addy replied immediately, a huge fake grin plastered to his lips all the while.

-"Thats so generous of you bro!" Dev grinned equally wider. And along with him squealed our little baby from his arms.

"Mommy!!!!!"

I don't why but my eyes welled up with tears upon seeing her morning face. Perhaps it was becoz it had been the first time I was seeing her getting up in her daddy's arms and knew that this wasn't going to a temporary scenario anymore. Things were finally falling in their places, my family was finally getting back together again... happy times had started for us. And wherever there is excess of happiness, tears of joy are bound to come, isn't it?

"My baby!!!" I wiped my eyes abruptly and took Coco from Dev's arms to shower her with the heaviest dose of morning kisses.

"Good morning mommy." She giggled under the effects of those kisses.

"A very good morning to you too." I spoke over her tummy and nuzzled my nose against it.

Little did I know what bouncer of question was coming for me next.

"Mommy... how did daddy get thosh ouchies??" The four years old invigilator asked me.

"Which ouchies baby?" I cringed my brows and turned back to look at Dev. And no sooner I did so, the fresh raw hickeys upon his lower neck came into view.

Oh fuck!

"Theshe" she extended her arm to touch and point out the red marks.

Fuck fuck fuck!!!!

-"Yes baby, your mommy knows very well that how and when did I get so many ouchies." Dev smirked at me as he took back Coco.

Just so that she could examine him better!
