Getting kidnapped by a ragtag group of villains twice — we don't talk about the first time, no, that brings back too many sad, guilt-ridden memories. We can talk about the second time, though, the time Izuku Midoriya kicked through a wall so hard that half the building collapsed, calves sparked by green energy and throbbing with wild, untamed power. The point is Katsuki's been through the ringer, from feelings of inadequacy to literal, life threatening situations. But this moment? Right now? Where he's showing Kirishima his phone screen to reveal who he sent the text to? Katsuki would let the league kidnap him a third time, get a punch card that fills up for each time he goes missing. He'd let that crusty-faced, multi-hand, mouthwash needing fucker breathe against his face, let the dude with the stapled skin yank him by the neck all over again. Anything. ANYTHING! He'd go through ANYTHING to NOT have this moment curdling at the pit of his stomach.

"Fuck." And wow, that shows how dire things are because Kirishima doesn't drop f-bombs that often. "Why did you send that to him?!"

Kirishima let's the word die in his throat and takes a deep breath. "All right. Look. We don't need to panic. Maybe he didn't see it yet."

"What teenager doesn't check their phone immediately?!" Especially a nerd like Izuku wow a hero stopped a villain let me check for news on the battle Midoriya.

He has a good point but Kirishima pushes on, trying to find some hint of silver in this disgruntled lining. "I know! I'll message Kami! He's downstairs, he can tell me if Midoriya's checked his phone!"
