Chapter 2: Ski Lodge

I don't know when it was, but I was finally asleep. I was at the ski lodge, from last year, when Mason had been killed. I sat down on the veranda, reaching my hand out to the snow.

"Glad you could make it, little dhampirs," a voice chimed behind me.

"Adrian," I sighed. I turned around and saw Adrian... and Lissa. "Lissa? What are you doing here?"

She gave me a small smile. "Adrian taught me."

"So, you're both here?"

"Yes, but I control the dream, Lissa just tapped into it." It was Adrian who spoke. I was really hoping I could talk to him privately but I couldn't, not while Lissa was here.

"Rose, we're breaking you out," Lissa said, her voice full of fear and excitement. "That's partly why I came to see you. I wanted to check your security."

"But, you can't, you'll get... wait... so you didn't ask Dimitri to see me?" I asked. Adrian tensed up beside her.

"No... but... I've asked him to help us."

"You can't do that. Please, not him." I begged.

"Rose, he wants to help."

"No. I won't let you, not until I know what's going to happen." I forced myself out of the dream. I had to find out what was going on. I went into Lissa's head. She was sitting in her room. Adrian, Christian, Mia and Eddie were with her.

"I don't know what we should do..." Lissa said, frustrated.

Christian put her arm around her. "It's okay, we're going to get her out."

Lissa sighed. "Should we tell her?"

"No." Adrian said solidly. "If we tell her then she will try to get out by herself."

I searched Lissa's mind for what it was.

No, Rose, Lissa said and pulled me out of her head.

Okay so I had no clue how Lissa managed to do that and I. Was. Pissed. How the hell did she even knew I was in her head.

I'm sorry, but it's for the better Lissa apologized through the bond. There are times when I wish the bond were both ways. Now was one of those times.
