Designed with sins (Tom Riddle x reader)

{ chapter 5 }

When dinner came, (y/n) went down the Great Hall to eat, when she met Tom on her way. He wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her into a kiss. "You missed care for magical creatures, where were you?" He asked her softly, "I didn't feel that well so i went down at the infirmary during the last 15 minutes, I'll just slip the excuse to Kettleburn." She kissed him back, "how was the lesson anyways?" (y/n) asked, "not as fun as you would think. It would've been better if you were there," the young boy answered her, letting go of her waist and instead, snakes his fingers around her hands, and walked down to the Great Hall hand in hand together.

"So tell me you guys, have you two done you know what, already?" Theodora asked with an innocent look on her face, "no! Merlin's beard, Theo, it's barely been a day," (y/n) answered in a chuckle, "besides if we actually did it we wouldn't have been as obvious as you guys," she smirked eyeing the non-official couple. "Hey by the way you two, I'm going to have to eat fast, I have to go to the library finish some paper works, and I need to catch upon the class I missed today, Tom do you want to go with me?" (y/n) softly answered, and Tom nodded. He looked over at Abraxas who was winked at him and all he could respond was a scowl. 

When dinner was served, (y/n) bent over and grabbed a piece of chicken leg as well as some grilled mushroom. She looked around and saw the other students eating and talking cheerfully around, the teachers were all laughing as well and overall having a good time after a long day of work. She nudged Tom with her elbows and whispered to him that it was time to leave since everyone was distracted. The librarian was also eating and casually talking with Professor Dumbledore that meant that the coast was clear and they could go out now. It was now or never. She grabbed Tom by his robe and led him out of the Great Hall using a small door, she discovered not long ago who led directly out of the Great Hall without being seen. The secret pathway was very dark especially at this time if the night so they had to cast Lumos if they didn't want to trip over a stone or step on a rat. When they finally arrived at the other end, with (y/n) in front to lead, she stopped dead in her tracks and put her ears on the exit door to hear if someone was outside. No sound the coast was clear.

Arriving in front of the library, (y/n) muttered a little " Alohomora" and the locks opened to reveal the chambers filled of knowledge.  (y/n) stepped in, and her boyfriend followed not far behind, he seems a bit distant she thought. Despite that she just brushed off the feeling and walk inside trying to find the restricted section. "Over here (y/n), i found it" said her beau's sweet and delicate voice. She skipped over to the origin of his voice and saw that he was standing in front of a locked door, under a big sign that read; "restricted section",  (y/n) flickered her wand, but nothing happened. She put her wand away, and focused on her energy all while putting her hands forward the lock. Suddenly Tom watched in awe as scarlet red energy started magically flowing out of her hands. The aura wrapped around the lock, and abruptly, her whole body started to slightly shake, the lock then exploded into small and thin fragments. Luckily Tom, ducked at the right time, if he didn't a sharp piece of the lock would probably have gone straight to his head. She waved at him to go inside. " (y/n) what on earth are we doing in the restricted section?" Tom asked clearly annoyed and confused,(y/n) turned around at said, "help me find some books that talks about the chamber of secrets, or something about a hidden chamber in this school," and she turned around again and started to search for the books she could possibly find talking about the infamous 'chamber of secrets'. Tom was still standing behind her, frozen in place, fixed right under the pale moonlight shining on his white face, he didn't know what to do. Should I tell her? After all, she's got the power. I just have to convince her to help me that's all. He thought to himself, "What are you waiting for? Are you alright?" his girlfriend's concerned voice shot right behind him, "yes, I'm fine don't worry," he answered and he started to move around the area trying to help his girlfriend out, "so um, why do you want to find information on this chamber anyways?" he firmly asked, still looking around occasionally taking a few random books out of their shelves before putting them back up, "I've had this really strange dreams, and it was in a sort of chamber, then earlier today when i went to the girl's bathroom, there was this snake image craved on the side of the tap, after that i remembered when Theodora told me the story of a sort of chamber of secrets, and now here we are in the restricted section, have you found anything yet?" (y/n) asked not even looking at him, too focused to see what he was doing, "no, nothing that could help you," he said calmly replacing a book entitled; Salazar Slytherin's chamber of secrets, up back on the shelf he found it and pretended nothing happened. He turned around to see (y/n) reading the back of a book at the other end of the room. He looked puzzled and stepped foward, but suddenly (y/n) raised her free hand targeting him and her hands were glowing red, and she was holding a red floating ball, a hex bolt, he thought, and a powerful one. "What is this Tom?" she asked furious, lifting her head up to meet his eyes, she turned the book and showed it to him, despite the distance between them, he knew perfectly what she was talking about. "Care to explain why you are reading about horcruxes?"(y/n) asked in an irritated voice, "I was just doing re-" Tom was cut off with (y/n)'s voice, "research? Do you think I'm dumb Riddle? Explain it to me!" she slammed the book on a nearby table and motioned for him to sit down. "Put that thing out(y/n), we need to trust each other. Just put it down." he said in a slightly shaken tone, she just sighed in response putting the fire out and sat in front of him. " A Horcrux is an object in which a person has concealed part of their soul. " he said calmly, looking at her, she was still mad at him, but she looked also intrigued at the same time, and he noticed she was incredibly attractive in that moment. "But i don't understand how that works,"(y/n) raised her voice and spoke, "One splits ones soul and hides part of it in an object. By doing so, you are protected, should you be attacked and your body destroyed." Tom answered her, carefully. "Protected?" she questioned further more, "That part of your soul that is hidden lives on. In other words, you cannot die." Tom said, grabbing the book, and randomly flipping through the pages, just to avoid her piercing and judging gaze. She got up and stared out the window, "and how does one splits his soul?" (y/n) asked innocently, "I think you already know the answer to that (y/n)" said Tom's voice right behind her. "Murder", (y/n) said barely above a whisper, but loud enough for Tom to hear it. She turned around and looked at him, his luscious dark brown locks falling down weightlessly perfectly framing his face. How could she not forgive him? "Who were you planning to kill Tom?" Tom looked away, and walked around the room, pacing back and forth. He stopped and stared at her; "Myrtle Warren".
