[8] You don't even like them!

"Lily, there is something I need to tell you." I said in a low voice, passing her phone back to her. My hands were starting to get clammy, as I nervously watched her constantly zoom in and out of the pictures on her phone.

"NOT NOW ALEX, I am really struggling to process all of these pictures." She replied, shaking her head, before placing her hand on her chest. "You don't know how hard this is for a fan girl." She tilted her head back, with a dramatic expression on her face, before snapping back upright and dropping her jaw wide open.

"I wonder if she's from here or if she's American or Australian.."

"Lily.." I began.

"Too bad we can't see the hoe's face in any of these pap shots. I hope she's ugly." She said, snickering to herself maliciously. My throat was getting dry.

"I don't know, she might be." I croaked.

If Lily is thinking this of me, I wonder what the rest of their fans have to say.

"Ooh I bet Neela and Kelsey have seen this by now! It was posted an hour ago." She continued to ramble mindlessly, completely ignoring my response.

"Lily..what I have to say..h-has something to do with this. I should have told you sooner.." Even as I uttered every word to her slowly, my voice shook violently, stirring my insides. Upon hearing this, my sister left her gaze from her phone screen. Noticing me looking back at her straight in the eye, with a face that strongly meant business, she turned to face me and placed her mobile phone into her pockets, out of our sights.

"Well, what is it then?" She sighed.

This is it.

I will tell Lily the whole truth.

I inhaled deeply before releasing the words from the cage, that was my mouth.

"I have been meaning to tell you this for a while now and you have to know that this is really difficult for me to even say aloud. I understand if you'll hate me for this, but Lily, I am dating Calum Hood."

Lily blinked a few times at me before bending down and clutching her stomach, while the sound of her laughter filled our entire living room. Startled, I stared back at her.

"Yes, you and thousands of others my dear sister." She chuckled, before placing a hand on my shoulder. "I know you hated every minute of chaperoning us the other night, when we followed 5SOS around but now is really not the time to make me feel bad about never being able to attain them, y'know?"

"But I am dating Calum Hood." I repeated.

"Good one Alex.." She replied, before whispering in my ears: "..maybe if you say it enough, it'll come true."

"I'm telling you the truth Lily!" I reasoned.

"And I'm dating Luke Hemmings, har-di-har-har Alex." She sang.

I raised my hands up in the air infuriated by how she acted in disbelief towards me. Then, I raced out the living room into the hallway, towards the bannisters of our staircase, grabbing the hoodie I wore earlier that day. When I returned to the room, I quickly pulled my arms through the arm holes and zipped it up, before turning around and pointing angrily at my back.

"Look at the pictures on your phone then, the one where Calum is sitting with some girl in a park bench. That's me Lily, I am the girl in those pictures!"

When she didn't respond to what I had said, I turned around only to find her with her eyebrows furrowed and her arms folded.

"What are you talking about?!" She spouted.

"Lily, I am the girl in those pict-"

"No you're not, you weirdo!!"

I removed the hoodie and held it up towards her face.

"That is me! It is the same hoodie. It is the same fucking hoodie!" I yelled.

"A lot of people have that hoodie Alex, now stop it!! You're not funny and you're annoying me now!" She yelled back, before groaning.

"I am telling you the truth!" I sighed loudly. I was at wit's end when suddenly, an idea dawned on me. I took my phone out of my pocket and punched a few number keys and waited as the dial tone rang before turning it on speaker mode. Lily stared at me, puzzled and obviously irritated at the same time. She began to make her way out of the room when, someone picked up and a muffled voice spoke from the other line.

"Alexia?? It's Luke."

I quickly looked at Lily, who flinched and froze on the spot at the sound of Luke Hemmings' voice.

"Luke, can you give the phone to Calum please." I urged.

Lily gasped, slowly twisting her body around to face me again.

"Oh okay, hold on. Calum..it's Alexia!" he called.

Lily and I continued to stare at one another, before another voice echoed from the phone's speakers.

"Why thank you Lucas...hey, what's up?" Calum asked.

With her eyes wide open, Lily slowly walked back towards me. She then took my mobile phone into her hands and held it to her ears.

"Sorry, Alex will call you back." Lily said, still glaring at me, before pressing a button and ending the call.

"So, that was Luke fucking Hemmings?" She asked, with a slight grin creeping through her lips.

I nodded at her, smiling back.

"And Calum Hood? Just now?"

"Yes, do you believe me now Lil-?!"

Then, out of nowhere, Lily viciously tackled me to the ground. A few cushions laying on the carpeted floor, broke my fall but it was not enough to escape the pain that I began to feel on my shoulders. I screamed and squirmed under her grasp, as she slapped the sides of my body hysterically.

"WHAT THE HELL ALEX?! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" She shouted, accompanying her words each time with a slap to follow. I held my arms over my face, struggling to push her off me.

"LILY, I CAN EXPLAIN!?" I cried, from underneath her.

"YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE THEM!"

"GIRLS?! What in the bloody world is going on?!" A voice yelled.

Lily and I winced as we abruptly turned our heads to face the archway, where both our parents stood with bags of groceries in their hands, returning the exact same look of surprise by the sight of us.
