SILENCE

You sighed, leaning into your hand as you tried to pay attention to the lesson. U.A., being such a prestigious school, was able to hire a translator for you, so you didn't have to worry about falling behind. You appreciated the gesture, but you were somewhat embarrassed that the school went through the fuss of hiring a translator for you, you're not even in the hero course!

Your seat was at the very front of the class, in the middle so you could see everything written on the board and every movement made by the translator. You felt your phone vibrate, telling you that the period was over, as the students stood up, leaving for the cafeteria to have lunch.

You, as always, thanked the translator before leaving, Shinsō waiting by the door to walk to lunch with you.

After getting your lunch and finding a place to sit, Shinsō asking you about class, "Did you get all of the notes in class?"

You shrugged, setting down your drink, "For the most part. The English teacher talks really fast, so I couldn't catch all of what the instructor was saying."

"I'll text you the notes later," he said, taking a bite of his lunch.

You nodded, "Thanks."

For the most part, your lunches were silent, unless Shinsō was feeling particularly talkative. This was mostly because you couldn't talk without your hands being free, but neither of you minded. When either of you wanted to talk, a simple tap on the shoulder and a conversation would ensue. Simple as that.

So when he looked up at you, he felt himself smile. You were entirely focused on your meal, humming every now and then in satisfaction.

Your hair fell in front of your face, and you lifted your hand to push the strands back in place. You glanced up and smiled at him when you noticed his gaze.

But he didn't mind these silent lunches as long as they were spent with you.
