BUTTERFLY

You sighed, spreading your limbs out, wincing slightly as the pain in your muscles throbbed. Your eyes were closed as you felt the cool breeze against your skin. The grass itched your legs, but you didn't bother to move.

You jumped up, your throat tightening when you felt someone touch your shoulder.

"Sorry! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I didn't know how to get your attention."

You raised your hands and signed frantically, "You scared me! I almost had a heart attack!"

"Sorry, sorry. Calm down, I can't understand you when you sign that fast."

His voice was calm and steady, you could tell by how his mouth moved. You sighed, a soft smile appearing on your face as you felt your rapidly beating heart calm down.

"Nevermind, it's fine. What did you need?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to hang out," he said, glancing at the bruises on your limbs, "Where did you get those?"

You covered them unconsciously with your skirt, "I was practicing."

"Practicing what?"

You frowned, "For the sports festival...I was practicing my combat skills because my quirk isn't very offensive."

Shinsō hummed, leaning back on his hands, "You've never used your quirk on me. How strong is it?"

You smirked mischievously, "I can make people see, hear, and touch things. Taste varies slightly from person to person so it's hard to make people believe that they're eating something for example."

"Can you try it on me?"

"Excuse me?"

"Make me see a butterfly or something."

"You're crazy if you think I'm breaking the rules just to make you see a butterfly."

He chuckled, "I was just teasing—"

"Sure."

"Anyways, let's go clean up those injuries of yours."

He held out his hand to you, helping you off the ground so you could stand. As the two of you walked towards the nurse's office, he sped up to walk in front of you, taking quick steps backwards so you could read his lips.

"Now, about that butterfly."
