Ella's POV

I woke up realizing today was the day I was meeting Chad and Nila. I did the normal went on my social media. When I was done with that I called Hayes.

"Hello" Hayes said with a sleepy voice

"Hi Hayes. Did I wake you up?" I asked

"No no it's fine babe" Hayes said

"Remember we're going to your dad's house at 12" I said

"Oh right" I said

"See you later. Love you!" I said

"Love you too baby" Hayes said and I ended the call.

I got dressed into a white lace dress and I went to my bathroom to do my makeup. I just wore concealer and mascara. When I walked out of the bathroom I saw Lauren.

"Hey laur" I said

"Why are you all dressed up?" She asked

"I'm going to meet Hayes's dad and stepmom" I said

"Oh well I have a photo shoot for my new head shots so mom and I aren't going to be around" she said

"Oh ok" I said

"Bye love you" I gave her a kiss on the cheek

"Bye have fun with your boyfrienddddd" Lauren said

I ran out the door to Hayes's.

"Hi Ella. Why so fancy?" Hayes asked

"You already know (see what I did there?¿) I need to make a good first impression. I can't screw it up like the one with your mom" I said

Flashback

Hayes and I were at the basketball court before we were dating we were playing one on one he started to dribble the ball and I tried to get it and I fell on my face and noticed that Hayes's mom was right there.

Back to the real world

"Alright well he's coming to pick us up any minute" and a soon as Hayes said that his dad pulled up. His eyes. Just like Nash and Hayes's.

"Hi Ella I'm chad" he said holding out his hand

"Hi Chad" I said nervously. We got in his car. I sat in the back and Hayes sat in the passenger seat.

My phone dinged.

Hayes turned around and winked at me. We soon arrived at chad's place and we went inside. Huge house. I held Hayes's hand as we walked inside. There was a huge bowl of pasta set out for us to eat. I saw a women with blonde hair in the kitchen. Hayes and I walked over there.

"Hey Nila" Hayes said

"Hayes I missed you" she said embracing him in a hug "and who is this?"

"This is Ella my girlfriend" Hayes said

Hayes POV

We all sat down to eat.

"So Ella, do you play any sports?" My dad asked

"Yes I play softball" Ella said

"Oh nice" my dad said

"So what do your mom and dad do for a living?" My dad asked

"Well my mom works for a construction company" Ella said

"And dad?" My dad asked.

Please don't cry Ella please. I know she always tears up when she hears about her dad.

"Um well...excuse me I need to use the bathroom" she said. I could tell she was going to cry.

"Hayes what's up" my dad asked

"Ella's father died" I said

"Oh I'm so sorry Hayes" my dad said

"It's ok you didn't know I'm going to go talk to her" I said
